云顶二天一夜 （1）

星期六，早上0540起床。大家准备好了之后，0625分就出门了。二姨以之前的经历说，巴士中途会停在有商店的地方让我们吃早餐，所以我们都是空着肚子出门的。到了集合的地点，巴士0655分才来。巴士上的人也不少，大概有一半以上都是去赌钱的。一路上只有停在厕所一次，没能买到东西来吃，只能空着肚子上山去 。

到山上，我和母亲都没有会员卡，导游带我们去做，又浪费了半小时。之后先买了面包和咖啡来充饥。吃了早餐之后，本来想先进旅店。但去旅店的巴士很少，基本一个小时有一辆。那里遇到一位先生，自告奋勇，帮我们(在1st world )寄行李,又帮我们买缆车票(之后拿了10rm 的小费)。虽然明知他就是来赚小费的，但还是要谢谢他，不然我们真的会一个头两个大。

我们先坐缆车到逢来仙岛，找了唯一的高档素食餐馆吃饭。食物不错，就是相当贵。

之后，有在那里走一个小时，自己有拍几个短视频，方便自己学用cap cut。之后有继续坐缆车到下面的站，那里比较像是购物区，由于时间有限，没去到专卖区走，只在附近的商店买了一些土产，感觉相当贵一下。

回到1st World Hotel 时，已经530了。我们到那里唯一的素食店。食物还蛮不错的，也有好一些选择。吃了饭之后，便坐短程巴士（要收费的，一人6元）, 饭店也要七点了。地方很大，再加上自己租的是home stay , 不能在柜台登记，自己为了找负责人，跑上跑下花了20分，才找到男子，拿了锁匙，去到29楼的房间。

晚上就在房间里，也没有其他地方可以去，就是在房里看看电视，自己打打游戏，到10点就休息了

七月-马六甲之行-2023

七月，我和母亲有来到马六甲。这几天公司的工作量不多的情况下，拿一下假还是可以吧。和往常一样到文礼上巴士. 巴士上的乘客也没有很多。一路上也顺利，1130就到了马六甲车站。遇见一对意大利来的情侣，有聊一下和交换了ig , 希望未来有机会见到他们

汉忠有来载我们去吃午饭。他之前在便利店有帮自己买了马国的网络卡，感觉和WiFi router 比起来，网络卡比较stable 吧。只不过自己没有pin , 装不了，只有去电话店，找人帮忙弄，顺便买电话壳。

其他时间都在二姨家。本来请汉忠买星期一回新加坡的票，但由于一些误会，结果汉忠买了星期二的票。反正票是不能退的，母亲建议我们多呆一天。反正自己也要换工作了，多拿一天假也无所谓。接下来要想这五天可以做什么，汉忠有建议可以去云顶两天一夜。自己有上booking.com 看旅店，汉忠负责找巴士上去。自己上网本来想book 的first world hotel 已经满了，只能book 到附近的home stay , 能住一晚就好吧

第二天晚上约了大舅母一起吃饭。大舅母也一起请了四姨，和二舅和二舅母。全部有八人。难得有机会和大舅母聊一下，但因为二舅有来，大部分的时间都只能二舅讲他三十年前的功劳史，其他的人大半有听的份。食物也不错，坐了45分钟就回了。

回顾一下今天的行程，没能和大舅母聊到什么东西，是有些遗憾。她多两个月回台湾了。明年会去台湾的机会也不高，最早也要等到明年10月了吧。 写到这里，多努力自己，一个人也可以很开心

A second interview thru Zoom

Last week, I managed to get a call from a job agent that a local company is looking for a draftmen job. The company was somehow a interior design firm. Since I had planned to take leave to go to Malaysia, I was not very keen in taking any extra leave for the interview. But fortunately , the company ( located in Bukit Merah ) agreed to have a interview session via zoom.

On last Friday , I managed to attend the zoom slightly after lunch. The zoom session was very short , where I meet up with a guy ( probably the boss ) and a lady ( probably the HR ) . The interview was very short as the boss ask rather few questions other than my reasons for changing a career. From his words, the new position that I may be in is a totally different industry from the one’s I working now. In such, I might have to start from scratch if they decide to employ me. But then, I would still have the software advantage ( ACAD ) which I uses for many years.

The interview ended barely after 15mins, and I was told to wait for 1-2 weeks to see if there are positive outcomes. Looking forward, this coming job (if successful) might clash with my plan to visit United States in October. I might do adjustment if such scenario comes, as I might put early my trip to august or should I change the venue to South Korea or Australia for a shorter vacation if I don’t have two weeks to spare (before I embark on a new job ) . But then, only time can tell.

Looking forward, I foresee myself to be busy on various kind of learning , from photography to all kind languages( Thai, Vietnam and tamil ). I probably won’t be able to find time to go back to school to continue my er hu, but I would still try to practice at home. The most important thing is I would learn to be happy

a photo session with Mr Tharman at Taman Jurong CC

Last week , I managed to go to the nearby CC for a photgraph taking session with my present MP( SM Tharman). The presidency election would be here in the coming months and Mr tharman has indicted his intention of running for the top office , and he would have to quit all his duty in PAP in order to be eligible for the top post. Since this would be the last time he would be meeting the residents as a mp, there would be a photo taking session held to Taman jurong CC on to give a warm farewell to the MP

I reached the CC with my mum at around 6 pm. There was a huge crowd of people waiting to take pictures with Mr Tharman and his wife , and we were sitted down and waited for 40 minutes for our turn to take pictures . during the process , we met another MP shawn ( likely to be the caretaker MP for the rest of this term) doing his round of making himself known to the resident . Finally, its our turn to take photo with Mr Tharman. He look visibly tired after such a long day taking photo, I didn’t managed to talk to him , just a photo , and we left . after that , we took some dessert on the ground floor , and there is also some performance there too .

Looking backwards , Mr Tharman is indeed a good mp of taman jurong. Even I am not exactly a PAP supporter , but I would say that Mr Tharman service as a MP from 2001 to 2023 is significant and benefical to the residents in taman jurong

Looking forward, talking about the president election that was due to be held in September , I guess he would certainly be the future president-elect due to his popularity and experience. Whether or not would there be competitors coming forward would not likely diminish his chance of becoming president ( this is what I guess ). After all, what can the president do for the people ( in layman words ) is something I really do not know.

For the coming national day , I should spare some time to visit the istana open house , and maybe if Im lucky enough , I might see President Halimah for the last time at the Istana . I see if any of my friends would join me for the visit. If not , Im ok visiting alone.

摄影课的下半场

今天又回到了原来的学堂，上摄影的下半段的课程。今天主要是学习软件。editing software， 自己在电脑和手机都有下载了CAP CUT的软件。早上大半在讲解网上一些不同的软件，和它们的优缺点，以免费软件来说，还是CAPCUT 比较好，但不久的将来，还是有可能被AI 所取代。

之后，大家下载了上个礼拜拍的短视频，开始剪接成为一分钟的短视频。感觉基本功不难上手，但里面还是有很多，自己不熟的功能。只能不断的练习才学的会

中午午餐，还是回到原来的素食馆吃饭. 这次叫了一个炒饭，又贵又少菜，也不是很好吃。同学当中也有一个是吃素的 （ francis ）（发一组）,有交换联络方式，希望未来有机会可以出来喝茶

下午回到课堂，学习很多不同的editing 的技巧，对自己受益还是很多的，学到了很多技术如加速，放慢，加影响等等。这些技能还是要多多练习，才会上手。最后完成了一分钟的视频给老师看。节目到了1725就结束了。之前有一起拍了合照，放在老师的手机里。课程后，想在WHatsapp msg 联系老师，但一点回应都没有。（大概身为网红的他，没有时间回应吧！）。之后自己也在网上买了一个自拍器，能够提升一下拍摄的技巧。

讲到旅游方面的东西，去美国的行程大概已经确定下来了。从10月7号开始，先去夏威夷，呆4天，然后，再坐晚上的班机到洛杉矶。在那里呆4 天，第五天，才飞到温哥华，在温哥华呆到21 号 （4天）。整个行程不是普通的贵，花费最少要6千五以上，如果没意外，下个月或许就可以订飞机票了。和自己说。未来的事情有很多不确定性，但总要以一个了个乐观的心态去面对。和朋友出国是不可能的，自己一个人学会一个人的开心。

a friday nite watching Transformer

It has been a very long while since I ever stepped into a cinema to watch a movie. The last time I ever watched a movie was 2019 where I watched the spiderman Movie also with my colleagues. Guess what, if not for the company effort , I probably will not be stepping into the cinema for a very long time.

This time , the company had chosen another similar movie ( transformer )。Recently, the relationship between me and my colleagues wouldn’t be very good , I ponder quite a while if it would necessary to go for such outing. But finally , I decided to say yes . After all , the movie outing would be the only show I ever watched in the year 2023

On the Friday, I worked until 530 , where I visited a new vegetarian stall at the former big box. The stall was pretty quiet at 6 pm . I wonder how long the vegetarian stall can last . Afterwards , I took a rest at the library before heading to jem for the transformer movie at 8 pm

Since I had started to learn videograhy , I should take some short clip to be posted on the tiktok and Ig. I took some video but most of them were pretty bur due to lack of lighting . I reached the cinema hall at 1950 hours . The company had actually booked the whole cinema hall solely for our company . Half of the colleagues managed to bring their family along . Since I still single , I can only bring myself . The movie was pretty interesting with an predictable ending.

Looking forward , I guess this should be the last movie I could ever watch with the company. If there are any more future welfare activities for this year, I should politely reject them so that I could spent more time on holy shrine activities. Job finding hasn’t been easy, but I would try to speed up the process

学习摄影的日子-2023（一）

自从好几年前，和毅辉买到了比较便宜的相机到现在，都没有真正的上课来学用买到的东西。之前有上YOUTUBE看了一些视频，但也是一知半解，要等朋友有空来教自己，真的是等久都没有。同样的问题，上一次去到北海道旅行的时候，相机很多时候，因为很蒙，拍出来的效果很差。总以为是相机出毛病了，之后有拿去修理中学看了一下，才发现是自己在设定方面的问题，只要调一下就可以了。想想如果之前有朋友能多给意见，就不会BLUR 到家。说回来，现在的我，身边没有真正可以聊到一起的朋友。或许这也是命，但也不好过多的埋怨，一个人也是可以的 （ 只不过学习路上都会比较辛苦吧）

五月3号

四月尾上网签了两天的 videography course, 因为可以扣政府skill future 的 钱，就自己去上一下吧。为了要多熟悉自己用的相机，之前的一天，我还特别勉强自己到植物园去走一下，拿相机拍一下，希望在技术方面有些进步。早上730起床，天气还蛮好的。坐巴士到植物园，大概用了40分钟。植物园相当大一下，感觉走半天，不一定走的完。和自己说，不用特意去拍“人” 的照片，多学会欣赏风景，花花或草草，最少在拍风景照时，风景是不会投诉的。园里没有免费的WIFI，打游戏只能用自己的网路。里面走了两个小时，拍了一些照片，但好不好也只能凭感觉，要把放上电脑，才会体会到那些需要改进的。到了1100左右，才有BUGIS 吃饭，结束半天的植物园旅行。

五月4号

早上0700分起床，吃了早餐就坐地铁到tanjong pagar 站　(international plaza , ispizone pte ltd ) 去上两天的课程。和我一起上课的还有三位男士　（另外三位男士临时退课了），感觉少了女生的课室，有些小小的失望。老师 (Adrian Lee) 开始先自我介绍，原来他也是IG 和TIKtOK 的其中一个网红。早上比较多在讲不同的社交网站的一些不同 （ FB、 IG 和TIKtok ），自己因此也下载了TIKTOK。早上也有学到拍摄一些简短的视频。

中午1230 ，三位同学很快就走出去了，只能自己吃饭。上HappY COW ， 有看到TANJONG PAGAR Food center 有素食，外面下着大雨，走过去也很不容易。到了那里，才发现两间斋店都没有开。自能去到比较贵的环球素食吃午餐，那里的食物还是不错的，或许下个礼拜也会过去。

下午回到课室上课。下午的时段，老师比较多讲到拍摄的效果和技术 和灯光的重要 ，虽然都只是是简单入门，但也获益良多。未来的科技有很大可能被AI 取代 ，以后很多工作不用人力去拍，只要输入想要的程序，AI 就可以模拟到更好的短视频。这到底是个好消息还是恐怖的事情，只有时间才能证明了。讲到相机，老师又说现在的科技，用DSLR 来拍Video 是不太行的（ 都用Mirrorless Technique），自己的D700 也已经是落后的科技的，想想是否该买新的相机呢？只能看一步走一步了.

老师教到五点半就准时放学，和其他三位同学没有什么机会聊到一起。或许大家来学的目的都不太一样，所以没有可以聊的话题。想想也就算了，因为不是女生，有时也少了要和他们搭讪的动力，多在自己的学习发面下功夫，下个礼拜还会学用editing software.

第一天的学习课程暂时写到这里，和自己说，不会谈恋爱的，一个人也可以很开心。

Company D&D 2023

The traditional dinner and dance event is here again for the year 2023. Compared to the previous years where D&D was held in April. This year would be slightly one month later, and it would mark the 12th year I stayed in the company.

I have opt to attend the event a month ago , only to find out that this year dinner would be a buffet style. Buffet style means all meals would be cooked in house , although there are meals label vegetarian, but some of them contain cheese , onion or garlic. Not exactly vegetarian, but more rather than just vegetables instead. Since I had say yes in the first place , it would not be good to back out in the last minute, after all it might be my last D&D in the company.

The event costume is set to be a tropical scene, since I don’t really have friends to discuss on type of costume to wear , I should just wear plainly t-shirt and jeans .

On the Friday, we were allowed to knock off on mid day . I went home and catch a sleep before going to the hotel at suntec City. I reached the venue at around 1750, and was to be seated at table 9 . The venue was relatively small, and there were no dedicated place to take photo or play small games. Most of my colleagues dress rather casually , except a few turn up in air filled dinosaur costumes. Since it is a buffet dinner , most of the people didnt sit in their allocated seats, I don’t really have much opportunity to mingle with most of my colleagues

The meals have mostly placed outside the ballroom, and we can start eating slightly before 7pm. The food meant for vegetarian were rather few, but as long as I could fill up my stomach, it’s OK

The night is still interesting as the female host ( fei fei ) was very experienced in different language and dances. Later comes the lucky draw with 15 prizes to be won. I wasn’t lucky enough to get any prize

The event ended at around 1030 pm. I heard from some of the colleagues stating that they would be going for 2nd round (karaoke). Since no one actually invited me, it’s best for me not to go with them ( 毛遂自荐)。I left for home at 11pm.

Personally wise , I have spent rather a bit on extending road tax and insurance for my car. And thanks to yihui for helping me over the month. Next month , I would need to service my car again. Home wise , my mother recently brought a foot reflex machine ( probably cost 1000 plus ) . since my mother likes it, is ok to pay half the price , I think.

Job finding wise , after the failed interview at nutek . I need to rethink if I still need to apply for pure draftmens post. Or do I have a choice afterall?

Looking forward , I could only take a step at a time , this weekend would be the videography lessons . Just hope I could make a few meaningful friends, and maybe I could be able to do something different altogether

First interview for a better tomorrow

It has been a month since I started finding a new job. Thru the jobsteet app , I managed to apply for a couple of openings. Most of the job I applied are drafting related positions, although there are a few openings for engineers or assistant engineers, but the chances of success were pretty slim .

Last week , I mananged to get a first call for interview from NUTEK ( a manufacturing firm in JOO koon area. From then I realized that the contact number wriiten in the resume posted were outdated . I have to go online to do some amendment .

Then I made an effort to go for the interview last Friday . on Friday , I managed to take an afternoon leave , so I am able to find time for the interview . I took quite a while to find all the certificate hidden most of the time in the cupboard, but I still cant find my certificate for my japanese studies . since it wasn;t a Japanese company , I guess the cert wouldn’t be useful for now . I took an mrt to joo koon station , where I changed into a bus 252. The journey took 5 mins or so , and land me infront of the huge building. It seems to me a quite a big mnc company with a lot of employee . I changes pass and when to the office for interview .

The interview started around 1520, and two staff ( one male staff believed to be the manager) came to interview me . firstly , I was to speak about myself,. Since it is my first interview ,in twelve years , I struggled quite a bit on trying to explain my strength and the reason for leaving the present job , and I don’t think is anyway convincing . afterwards, the male manager briefly talked about my future job scope. It is 100 percent 2D drafting job , very much similar to the jobs I am doing now , just kinda a little boring and manual work intensive job.

furthermore, the manager specifically mentioned twice on the need for overtime . since the manager didn’t managed to convinced me on the prospect of this job , I could not bring myself to say yes to such position . in the end , I rejected the post on the spot. For a thought, I told myself, even how much I would want to change a new job , I should not compromised my expectation for a better environment . afterall , the learning curve would have to be a higher consideration in any new job offers that come in the way. I than ked the staff there and left for home

looking forward, I would still try to sent out emails for new posting , in the event if I still cant find a job , would I need to quit before finding a new one ? this would be a very difficult option , I would ponder deeply for the next few months

for the month of jun, I managed to enrol for a 2 day course on camera videography. I do not know what I really can benefit from such courses ( apporx 500 dollars ) . since it is fully paid by skill future credits , I should go and upgrade my self and hope to be able to make some new friends in the way

holiday wise , I starting to imagine going for a holiday as far as united states . at least , I would have the experience ( before I get too old ) of flying more than 12 hours , or 15 hours to be exact if I see myself to going west coast of united states, (san fransico ) , the ticket isn’t too expensive , with one way ticket probably cost a little more than 1000 dollars
