A walk from bukit timah to tanjong pagar

Since I still had quite a number of leaves to be cleared by the end of 2025, I guess it would nice , if I would take another leave for the month of July to visit Bukit Timah nature reserve for some hiking. On the morning of 29 jul 2025, I managed to wake up only at 0730am. I had my breakfast before embarking on the tour to Bukit Timah nature reserve.

I only reached the place at around 0935am. Comparing to the previous hiking which I spend time hiking near Bukit Timah hill, I should change some routing, and hike toward the opposite directions towards Tanjong Pagar station. The whole walk was pretty smooth, and the path was easy to walk. But then , there werent much scenery I could see on the way and throughout the journey, the weather is hot but still bearable. The walk to the Tanjong Pagar station took 10.5 km , and I glad im able to complete the walk in around 3 hours . in the end, as the train station is still under construction till 2026, I can only turn back at the last 200m.

I managed to talked to a Malaysia couple hiking for the first time (the guy name adrain , and his girlfriend venittta (somewhere there) . they were working as tutors in Singapore, I managed to get the phone number for Adrian, but both of them don’t seem very interested in making friends with me , I guess as long I tried , things were be ok even I probably wont see them again.

Afterwards, I took bus 61 to fortune center , where I had lunch at seva vegetarian ( a nice Indian vegetarian restaurant. After that , I take a wake at sim lim square and bugis before ending the day. Looking backwards, I guess it is a good training leading up the the kallang run on 27september. Telling myself , its always pays when one is positive about life. By registering myself to the run, I would find some motivation to restart my jogging again.

Talking about the qsn outing for the month of august, after several weeks of uncertainty , where to go? who will come? Or do we really do need the outing in the first place? A lot of these questions can be stressful at times. But in the end, Limin managed to suggest a trip to science center on the national day. With 5 people stating their intention to go , I guess it should be a nice trip confirmed (unless thre tickets were claimed out).

Talking about my lost bike, the police came back with an email last Friday to inform me that a senior staff sergeant named Sufyanrafie would be looking at my case. While I hope that the bicycle will eventually come back, but I should also be mentally prepared that the lost bicycle cannot be recovered. If such thing do happen (the bike lost) , I should stay positive and only start looking at a new bike October onwards.

脚车不见了

星期五还很正常的骑脚车回家，同样的锁在同样的 bicycle bay. 星期六白天，因为一整天都有佛堂的东西需要忙，旁晚回到家楼下，也差不多要六点了。这时才发现，脚车不翼而飞了。想要报警，但附近没有POLICE post ，晚上还有东西要忙。所以先把东西搁在一旁。

晚上回到家的时候，也接近11点了。确定脚车真的不见后，想想还是报个警，在看如何。上网之后，才发现原来可以网上报案。在警察的网站上弄了15分钟，upload 照片也相当不容易。平时也没有真正拍到脚车的照片，只有拿几个月前的照片UPLOAD 上去。正当自己要上床睡觉的时候，很意外的有警员打电话来讯问案件 ，（我还以为要等到星期一才会有警员上班）。问了10分钟，才挂电话。到了早上，案件就换了两次的IO了。回到bicycle bay , 才注意到那里是有CCTV 的。 接下来就等警察来调查了。想想，我的脚车真的能找的回吗？说真的，自己实在不敢过于乐观。警察能第一时间的回应，已经是一个不可思议的好服务了。如果接下来，如果脚车找不回来（大概率就是这样），接下来的两个月，就回到搭巴士上班的日子。 等到十月后，才来考虑买新的脚车。

讲到近来的日子，天气真的热得不得了。不开冷气，还真的睡不了。这几天都是晚上睡不好，白天就很累，不知这样的天气还会持续多久？朋友方面，也没有太多的改变。上个月底，有和天伟一起吃饭。上网看接下来的月份，有什么特别的活动可以参与，刚好看到九月有kallang RUN , 问问几个朋友。有的朋友讲没兴趣，也有朋友讲没体力（跑不了），但还好有“天伟”讲ok ，有人陪，就应该去跑跑。

游戏方面，虽然所花的钱还是不少，但比上个月来说，的确是少了三分之二。在元明园的活动花了一些钱，帮“一郎”拿到皇帝的头衔，自己在七月份，也领了智恒王的头衔，其实已经很不错了。和自己说，警察的案件有时还是需要许多的悲观。大概今年2025年是不会有结果的。花一点钱在游戏上，有一点点短暂的快乐，就应该满足了。只希望未来没有牢狱之灾就好。不能出国的日子，就在新加坡呆着。和自己说，做人只有不断的乐观，反正日子都是不想过，也得过，不要过，也过得差不多了。

写到这里。不会谈恋爱的，一个人也可以很开心

A planned visit to lazarus island and kusu island

In the month of july , I decided I should spend a day visiting the chain of island for a day trip. I managed to take a Friday leave（11 july）, so that I would probably had a longer weekend. I went online two weeks ago to book the tickets( at 18 dollars ) . there were a few timing to choose , starting from 9am . since I decided not to wake up too earl;y ,so I booked a 10am ferry instead .

In the morning , I woke up at 0720 am, and had a heavy breakfast at the nearby food court. At 0830 am , I took mrt to the marina south pier which I reached at 0940am. The personnel there took effort to brief me the timing of the boat I need to catch for me to visit 3 island.

From 10am , the boat departed for Lazarus island. There were quite a number of people taking the ferry, with half of them seems to be foreigners working on the island. There were also a few group of people planning to camp at Lazarus island. The trip took 25 minutes, before we reached Lazarus pier . from there I had around 90 minutes , before the next boat leaves for the sisters island . I took a walk to the nearby st john island . the place looks relatively the same compared to 10 years ago. There were no shops on the island, and pier to st john island has been under renovation . the weather was pretty cool , just after a morning showers . by 1115 , i have to walk back to lazarus island. according to the map, there are supposed to have a shop selling product, but its was permanently closed since 31 jun 2025, what a sad thing!

By 1145am , I went back to the pier for the ferry to the sister island. Surprisely , the ferry was pretty empty with around 7 people, including two couple and two gals ( probably NUS friends) . the place was very small , it took barely 30minutes to complete the whole lap . during the boat back to Lazarus island , I managed to talk to one of the couples which turn out to be the tourist for shanghai . I managed to chat with the guy (surname zhang) . and took a photo togther .

I waited another 20 minutes for a ferry to go to kusu island at 1415 hours , which was the last venue for the day . I reached the island at around 1445 hours ,where I spend one and a half hours. Only then , I realized that there were no shops open during normal seasons , I could only walk around , sit down , relax and enjoy the beach . by 1615, I took the last ferry back to Singapore .

Looking backwards , the whole trip was still quite ok ,and the scenery was pretty nice, just that there were;t much place of interest to see compared to pulua ubin. Looking forward, I probably wont visit again anytime soon, or until some significant upgrades happen on these islands , and hope some shops would appear on the islands, or at least some vending machines.

I should stop here for now , the next leave I targeting to be end of July, and maybe I should just go back to bukit timah hill to take a walk .不会谈恋爱的，一个人也可以很开心
