2025年的群众大会（rdu）

在4月30号，难得遇到奇德有空的日子。晚上本来想要去支持的政党（工人党和前进党）都没有群众大会。本来想说就在家看电视算了，但因奇德的要求，我们还是见面，一起去看看红心党的群众大会。晚上放了工，回家之后，才驾车去载奇德。之后我们先去吃饭，才去到中国花园站的旁边看红心党的集会。在那里只呆了短短的20分钟。参与的人员相当少，感觉最多有一百人左右吧。只有听到一位参选人发言（ Marcus Neo），听他演讲15分钟，讲到很多他在职场的个人经历，但是我还是抓不到他想表述的政治理念。不懂当他讲了这么多，到底能为红心党吸到多少的票数？到了0825分，我们就离开了，感到下一场的SDP群众大会

一路上，和奇德聊起大选的东西，自己驾车走错路，浪费了一些时间。到sembewang 时候，已经是0930分。这是我第二次再来到民主党的群众大会，这次明显的比较多人。最后的半小时，还是听到Dr PAUL 和Dr chee。内容都是大同小异，主要还是讲到房屋和物价的东西。比较有印象的是DR chee 讲到政府采用SDP 很多年前建议的计划，说到一个重点，那就是“ criticise first , copy later 。自己感觉是有些认同的，很多现在政府推行的计划，在10多年前SDP 就讲过，但当时的政府不同意的东西。最后，Dr chee 还是介绍了他们在三巴旺团队的候选人，都有很好的学历和背景。我们要相信，不只是行动党才会有好的候选人。今年的确有很多优秀的候选人，也会加入反对党的。如果反对党能强大一些，在每一的选举中，人民才能在两个（或多个）优秀候选人当中一个更好人来当议员，相信这都会对新加坡长远的发展是有利的。

群众大会到了10点才结束，我没有时间和机会去到附近的行动党的群众大会去看看 （奇德也不想去看），我们看了看后面的亭子，有卖一些民主党的周边产品，和DR chee 的 书，因为没有买的动力，看一下就回了。

在回家的路上，我们还是聊了这次大选的事情。讲到对大选成绩的预测，奇德显得很悲观。他好像不清楚工人党这次竞逐几个议席，他总觉得政府应该会大胜，反对党或许会胜少过10个议席（比现有的少）。 要尊重他的想法吧，明晚我们还会再出来看看竞选。最后一天，应该会去看看前进党和工人党的群众大会

2025年的群众大会（SDP rally）

On the Monday morning , I return to work as usual. Workload wasn;t too heavy , so I could had some time for myself , doing my things.

On the night event, I am supposed to meet Alan to go for SDP rally. But as he needs to fetch his son from school, taking public transport to woodlands would be too late for him. For me , I would be taking dinner at home , if I would go to east side to fetch him , by the time we reach woodlands , it would be near to 10pm. Due to all this consideration , I guess I should just go alone so I can take MRT as well.

I reached Marsiling mrt , where I walked toward Woodlands stadium. I reached the stadium at aound 2050 hours , the crowd wasn;t a lot , much less compared to the workers rally last week. Half of the participants were standing on the grass pitch , which took up only 30-40% of the football field , while the rest were sitting afar in the stand at the side . The whole speech was rather interesting as there were 4 speakers , including Sembawang candidate Alfred Tan , Marsiling-Yew Tee candidate Jufri Salim, Paul Tambyah and Dr Chee. Some of the main topics carried by the SDP talked about Full time MPs , and what SDP MP can do in the parliament when they got elected. All those primary facilities ( like MRT and parks ) would definitely be around even when the oppositions win the seats.

Dr Paul Tambyah made a more interesting topic on the expensive housing and high medical bills . finally , Mr chee ended the day talking about the topic of GCB ( good class bungalow ). I seriously do not think general public would be very interested in knowing who exactly owns or buy these expensive bungalows , and there might not be a direct link between a high priced GCB and the rise of prices of the land to be use for HDB. The public perception is still that MP and Ministers shouldn’t own big bungalows in order to feel connected to the public? or do we think that if office holders were to be banned from buying GCB , will this issues disappear? ( just a 2 cents worth of thought)

Talking about other sides of this election, there are a very fierce competition between the workers party and PAP on Punggol. The WP had harped on the case of DPM Gan being parachuted into Punggol for political gain , while PAP warned to the resident of Punggol that if DPM Gan would to lose at Punggol, PAP team will be severely weaken and Singapore will suffer. This is something I seriously don’t agree. Losing and winning is part and parcel of an Election , if any candidate does a good job and the voters like that candidate , he or she should win . but if he or she loses, it can only means he or she is not good enough to be elected. No one is indispensable, whenever any “good” minister loses, there are surely others that can stand up to take his roles, scaring voters to vote for the incumbent can never be the correct way forward .

On Tuesday night , unfortunately , there were not any PSP rally going for that night, and the nearest PAP rally was at Yishun , so I guess I should take a break for a night . and probably go for RDU rally on the Wednesday night . Should stop here for now ,

周末的时间（拿车去维修）

很快的，车的路税又要到期了。要在今年的六月份之前，车要拿去inspection。在检验之前，总要维修一下，看哪里要维修的修一下，才可以通过检验。这个星期六，刚好有空，就驾车去到文礼的修车中心维修车辆。哪里的员工花了一个小时检验，主要需要换的零件有着电池（120元）和前轮（360元）。东加西加的东西加起来，都要800元了。在新加坡要拥有一辆车，真的非常昂贵。再加上明年的六月份，拥车证也要到期。要再买COE的话，如果以现在的价钱，我是买不起的。99巴仙几率也只能“刹车”了。

之后，便去到文礼的验车中心检验车辆。一时忘了车后面没有合格的灯，结果被判定不合格，还要拆掉。 那个时候，我也没有办法和哪里的职员争论。只有回到原来的修车中心。他们没有做car body 的 工作，看样子，只有等多几天，找另外一间店来处理了。反正都是花钱的年份。该花的钱就不要不舍得。

讲到大选的进度，九天的竞选期到了一半的时间点。在周末的晚上，我都有些节目需要忙，没有时间参与什么党的群众大会。说到自己的选区，气氛方面感觉比2011年还要静。在2011年的选举，PAP的候选人（达曼先生）有两三晚陪同太太一起到各家各户来拉票。今年反而没有看到任何准议员的身影，只有一两位义工来分传单。准议员不上门拉票, 要给反馈也很难。同样的，我也没有看到前进党的成员来到附近拉票。或许是我和他们没有什么缘，他们都在我没有空的时候来？

接下来的日子，都没有节目。和自己说，总要花一些时间去看看不同政党的群众大会。不是说不支持，就不要去看。总要感受一下气氛，也当做是国内旅游的一种吧。明天（28号）没有意外的话，应该去民主党在woodlands 的群众大会。如果时间可以的话，也可以去去一下行动党的群众大会。

稍微讲一下，自己的游戏方面。回到“神话”有两个礼拜了。但没有和梦醉的朋友绝交，有时还是可以和他们聊聊一下游戏的东西。这个月的花费还是过千元，反正没有机会出国了。就花一些钱让自己开心就好。最后放一下，去台湾金门的照片。希望案件能早些结束。年底能够出国，就很好了。写到这里，不会谈恋爱的，一个人一定很开心。

A outing to Pulau Ubin (during election period)

Since late march ,I had planned for a trip to Pulau Ubin for the last Friday of April. The date happen to coincide with the GE campaign period. Probably, it would be a good time to visit the small island to enjoy the scenery. And during this time , I might be able to get a closer view on the election campaign in the far east , with PAP and SDA fighting for the 4 man GRC.

In the morning , I only managed to wake up at 0700 o’clock , I managed to go to the hawker center for a heavy breakfast , buy some kuey to be eaten for lunch later on the island , before taking Mrt to Pulau Ubin . according to the map, I am supposed to take Mrt to Tanah Merah station , where I would take a bus number 2 to Changi village. Due to my mistake, I cross to the wrong direction of bus and wasted 30 mins

By the time I managed to reach Changi village, it was around 11 am (what a long travel). I took a boat to Palau Ubin and reached the island at around 1130am. As it was a weekday, there were very few visitors. Election wise, there were some PAP posters hanging in the main street, but totally no posters for the opposition SDA party, probably they have given up hope that any residents on the island would want to vote for the opposition. I booked a simple bike at 8 dollars a day and started my journey. looking at the map, I started the day by going to the west part of the island. It was really very quiet except a few people working there. I only managed to reach Puaka Hill in the centre of the island before I decided to take a U turn, as I do not have the time to venture too deep into the west part ( probably nothing to see as well )

After an hour of difficult bicycle ride, I managed to reach the east shore of the island. I spent around an hour of time there, where I met two persons (which I had met them earlier on the boat), a Chinese guy named Liu yang and his younger sister. Liu yang was an EP pass holder working in Singapore, and his sister is a tourist from Hang Zhou China. we managed to chat a bit of politics and religion, and it’s a fruitful meeting as I learn something from him on the Chinese culture and stuff like that.

Around 230pm, we parted, and I cycle back to the town. Since there were nothing much to do, and a few areas are still under renovation , I decided to left a bit earlier , in the boat back to Singapore , I met two other ladies supposedly to be NUS students studying IT stuff , I didn’t managed to get their names or contact number , but it is still a wonderful time to be able to just chat with them for 10 minutes or so . they mentioned that they are from Sengkang GRC, and the Workers party MP there were very hardworking. I guess it’s good news and hope WP can retain the GRC this election, we parted after the boat reaches Singapore. I Probably would not see them again, so I should wish them all the best in the coming future.

I left for home After that and by the time I reached home , its around 1730 hours. I then push my bike to the nearby bicycle shop to service my tire. The whole tire had to be changed ( 44 dollars) plus the pedal (14 dollars) Looking backwards on the day trip, I guess it’s still a fruitful trip. In a way , I could learn to stay positively at any time of my life. There is something to learn every time, able to find opportunity to talk to people whenever possible, so I could improve myself continuously. for the next outdoor trip, I should wait till end may before deciding on where can I visit. Probably I might book a trip to the sister’s island in early jun. I should end here for now.

2025年的群众大会（工人党）

这几天因为母亲去了中国旅行，家里也显得比较安静。没有朋友的我，佛堂节目也暂停了，大部分的晚上都在家自己做饭，自己吃饭，和看看资料。反正孤单的时候，把厨里的洋娃娃拿出了排一排，有时候也可以解一下闷气。在这些时候，也顺便来关注一下选举的进程。

在24号的·晚上，和alan 安排了一些时间，去到盛港去那里参与与支持工人党的第一群众大会。这两天的工作量也不多，到了五点半准时回家，去到家附近的新素食店打包饭，新开的店，食物还不错，但价格就比较贵一些。吃了饭之后，才驾车到alan 的家，然后一起去到盛港的集会地点。

接近到了场地的时候，车辆明显变的很多，要找一个停车位都很困难。接近场地的停车场都暂时关闭了，不让外来的人进去。自己也只能找更远的停车场park 车，然后再步行到场地。当时每个地方几乎都是人山人海。要接近中央的讲台是几乎不可能的事，加上讲台前的草地因为之前下过雨，所以变的很湿，泥巴也多，要步行过也非常困难。自己穿着包鞋，还勉强走进草地上面，而alan 因为不想弄脏他鞋子，所以站在非常后面的有盖走廊，没有和自己站在一起。

在自己的印象中，这人数比起2015年的集会还要多，以前2015年的时候，自己所站的地方，还可以看到参选人的脸（虽然没有很清楚）。但这次站的地方，更遥远，连演讲的参选者都看不到，还好能用手机上脸书看直播 （周围的人大半都是这样做吧).

当我开始听演讲的时候，已经是9点半了，只省下30分钟的时间，整个演讲进程都相当顺利。主持的是新来的美女候选人（eileen chong）。在课题方面，是有相当的人员每个发言的候选人，但讲的都很短，所以印象不深。印象比较深刻的是Jamus Lim 讲到工人党在国会发言的次数比行动党多的很多。其他的演讲者包括he tingru，和最后发言的毕丹星。没有机会听到另外一位美女候选人（Alexis dang）的发言, 感觉有些可惜。

到十点就得散场了。自己在巴士站买了一个充气的“铁锤”，只有应alan的要求，再买一个给他的孩子。自己哪一个”铁锤“不幸有”洞“，很快就漏气，漏完了。反正买了，放在家里当纪念品吧。

回顾这次的选举，Alan因为 所在的选区（marine parade）没有工人党去竞选，而让他失去投票的资格，所以整个晚上都很不开心，一直在骂工人党的不是。想想也是没有办法的事。讲到自己对工人党的想法，其实也是有些不满的，不太了解为什么工人党不能勇敢一点，去竞选超过三分之一的议席。想想今年已经不太可能会换政府了。政策大概也不会有多大的改变，做人民的我们还是要多忍耐几年 （ repent for the next 5 years）。

接下来几天，还是会找机会去来看一下PSP 和SDP的集会，来对比一下，看会有什么不同。写到这里，不会谈恋爱的，一个人一定要狠开心
