On the 23rd Feb, I decided to go for a 2nd matchmaking interview in my lifetime. It was 9 years since I last visited such agency. I booked an appointment at 7pm in the evening with the lady called Kaile at Gaigai Pte Ltd (previously called Paktor), venue at Cecil Street (very close to raffles place)

The whole interview took around an hour, and the lady was indeed sincere and helpful.
From the start, we started with some surveys based on what my personality is and what kind of girls I would have hoped to meet. Such requirement’s questions are always difficult to answer, I wish I had the chance to meet with girls around my height, probably a little taller then myself(158-165cm), average size(not too thin), pretty and cute , joyful most of the time and occasionally childish. She should be a Chinese, non smoker and preferably a vegetarian, the most important criteria would that she should love me. From the above criteria, I believe it would be easy to find this type of girls, but question is, would they like me? (Probably not, I think). If I would want to put up a photo on my ideal girl, I would put up 劉五朵。She’ 170cm tall (too tall) and a non vegetarian.i hope i could meet someone similar to 五朵,but a little shorter. Dreams are only beautiful when they don’t come true.

The second part comes about the cost or to say price package for the dating services. It was simply expensive, especially the fleek image course (worth 2K+ for 12 hours). It can be argued that the money is worth spending as we are getting professional help, but then, I can only say, my budget simply won’t allow me to do so (that’s my fault ). Next on the one to one date, that would be another 2K ++ for minimum 3 dates (for a year subscription). The question again for myself, will I get 3 dates? From the past experiences, I got only 1 date from the minimum 3, and I didn’t get any refund for the dates I missed out. For now, I need to think again.

Cost wise, I wonder why dating services had been so expensive in Singapore. while I understand that people working in this dating services also needs to earn a living , make enough money to cover rental charges and to make some profits, but then the question is , is dating a kind of social services or purely business entity? If the government doesn’t step in to help fund some significant portion of these costs, I seriously believe majority of the public would not have the spare cash to consider such options.
Looking forward, I could only reject the offer for now. My cash has been tight down either due to Japanese studies, holiday or car buying. I hope that I could still hold on to the belief (雞年有機會). The moment after I settled my car buying, and when I have the extra cash, I should give such option a try too. Before that, I might just participate in some small events (which chances are much lower). I should try a little harder this year, and if things don’t go out well, at least , I must convinced myself that this is fate, I should stay single for the rest of my life.

Finally,I should start thinking of the imaginary trip to Eastern Europe. I should post some photos of Rome and hope one fine day , I should visit Italy
