outing

On 26 Jun 2010, we went to Malaysia as per activities plan by Tianwei. A total of 6 people ( Lijing / lihui /ziyu /tian wei / Wesley chia and myself gathered at Bugis mrt to take a bus to Malaysia. I was a little disappointed not to see zhi xian coming.

we took the Malaysia express bus ( costing us 2.40SGD each ) and reached JB at around 1130am. We spent a little extra time in JB custom as Ziyu lead us to the wrong exit.

we spent half an hour walking around city plaza, and I managed to get a gift for RenHui and Lijing got a gift for Huizhi. Soon we are able to meet up with one of the two host (Yan Ru) which we spent the next two hours preparing birthday card to Yoong jie (YJ). I drawn a pig on the card (which doesn’t look like one ), at least Yan Ru draw a pig much better looking .We also bought a cake for yoonjie.

Around 215 pm, we managed to meet up with yoongjie ( after her work). We initially plan to walk to a nearby park, but the weather is super warm. So we decided to take two cabs there( 4 person in a cab)
We reached the sultan’s Garden in a 10 minutes drive, where we ‘climb’ up the hill and ‘cutting’ though a few grass patches before reaching our destination at the Pavilion.

Soon after we reached, a big group of church people also turn up for their gathering. We decided to give up half of the pavilion to them since that we have only 8 people.
We first took out the cake to sing birthday song to two birthday guy and girl.

Later, we played a game called 終級密碼 and there are “punishments for ‘losers”. Some interesting punishments include ziyu proposing to the tree, and tian Wei trying to express some words using his backside. The punishment I got is to run around the pavilion one time (a simple one I thought)

In the evening, as the sun shine into the pavilion, we shifted to a nearby grass (which is shaded) to eat the rice (tian Wei bought) and roti prata.

Around 630 pm, we finally departed. We took time to walk slowly back to city plaza and we took photo whenever there is an opportunity. We finally parted at 0730 with the host and left for home.

Looking backwards, the visit is relatively simple but enriching. The only down thing is people attending is not so much, I didn’t managed to see a few of the Malaysia QSN and particularly 義昇and Co. just hope I could see them in the next outing. Saying this, the next outing may not come anytime soon as we predict the students would be busy with their exams.

Finally it’s the birthday of Yoongjie and Tianwei today at 30 Jun 10. I can’t meet up with tianwei to celebrate his birthday due to other activities. But hope them all the best.

Wish
Yoongjie stay pretty and
Tianwei stay handsome always

(or as long as possible). GOD Bless!!

Cheers

On last Fri. (30 may), my grandpa, my mother and myself went to a trip to the zoo. We reached the place at 0900 hours. The tickets were relatively more expensive (18 dollars) than the previous times I visited the place.

We started the journey around 0915am. The weather was not as warm as expected, the walk was pretty pleasant. There were so much animals to see, thus we can only spent a few minutes for each animal. Overall, we spent the most time (45mins) at tropical crop plantation / and orchid garden seeing different kinds of plants and fruits.

Around mid day, we reached Kidz world (wet play) where I see many kids playing there. The facilities were very good; I thought I would play if I am a kid myself or if I would bring some kids there also. i had spare some thing to visit the nearby kampong house.

The most interesting show I seen for the day is the show “rainforest fights back”. The only downside for me is that we reach the venue only at 1400 hours where as the show started at 1330 hours. I could only see half the show, but it’s still nice.

After the show, as my grandpa is relatively tired. We cut short the trip and went back at 1500 hours.

For the whole journey, we didn’t eat anything. But I managed to buy a bottle of coke (using the 1 dollar discount coupon). I also did visit the souvenir shop, but couldn’t buy anything as they are quite expensive. Overall I guess the visit is fruitful and the money spent worthwhile.

From 31 may onwards, I decided to take company bus to work. For conservative calculations, I should be able to save 3.50 dollars per day on petrol, that’s would built up to a whopping 900 dollars worth of savings annually. GOD bless
