21st apr 2014 On this date, I managed to sell my van, something that had been with me for nearly 5 years, from 24 may 2008 to 21 apr 2014 (1792 days to be exact ). Throughout these times, I have used the van to help my father sell his gara guni, and accomplished many great things. To now, I’m still struggling to convince myself the decision to sell. If the COE had been lower, I would have fewer worries. But then the future is so unpredictable, I can only take one step at a time.

I took half a day leave to go to LTA to do the transfer with the buyer. The Buyer (Mr. Tok) initially agreed to meet at 10am, but later postpone to after 12 midday as he is still waiting for his insurance cover note. It looks impossible that the procedure can be finished by lunch time; I had to opt for a full day leave.

Mr. Tok managed to reach LTA at 0100 pm. The procedure weren’t as complicated as I thought, but the queue was relatively long, and we waited for slightly more than 1 hour to do all the transfer. By 1445 hours, all the procedure has been complete; Mr. Tok paid me cash, and sent me to Bishan MRT. From there I took a photo with the van, and Kiss goodbye to the van.

What’s next? I told myself to withhold for at least 2 weeks (to maintain car free), should be looking for a new 2nd handed vehicle. Now question is, should I buy a van or an OPC (off peak car)?Li jing says maybe I should consider a new van ( so as to drive more people ), I should include this for though for this two weeks.

Things are looking pretty positive this year, I managed to convince my dad to open an account to receive his CPF monthly payout. My bonus was pretty good, and with the money I got from the sales of the van, this is the first time ever in my lifetime to have a bank account of 5 figures.

Finally, Ruixian birthday (27 apr) is coming. I should just drop a note, and wish her all the best.

On the Friday , my company was scheduled to host the annual Dinner and Dance at orchard rd, hilton hotel. The theme was black & white ( not black/white ), so we have to wear some clothes with a mixture of black and white. Unknown of what to wear , I went to ask Shuwei (HR) for advice , and got some webpages as a result. The information wasn’t very helpful as is was rather exaggerating, but I still thanks shuwei for her help.

Two days before the event, cheah volunteered to accompany me to JEM to source for a suitable wear. It didn’t take too long for me to settle down with a short sleeve shirt(black checkered), and I whatapp 麗卿，as she says ok . afterall , I say to myself , as long as I wear the minimum required , I think that’s enough. Anyway I would not have any chance winning the best costume prize .

That day, company had allowed us to leave office at 2pm, which I went home to rrest a little and to be changed to the specific costume. After then, I left my house at 1740 hours , and reach the hotel at around one hour later.

Most of the colleagues were dressed according to the theme, only one or two coming in T-shirts ( better than last year). Similar to last year, mikki and goh had one of the best wear of the event, a few others ( Sabrina/ Suet may /Shuwei / Agnes ) also wear some attractive costume.

We spent the first half an hours taking photographs, I managed to take some with my colleagues (Sabrina / uncle liow / mikki / grace etc ) . I thought of taking one with shuwei but she don’t seem interested, so I decide to forgo the idea.

The dinner started around 8pm, I got to be seated with ah leong (left) and jingjing ( right) The performance were pretty ok and the presenter ( same as the previous year ) was very good. The food was pretty ok .

Lucky draw wise , I managed to win a 5th prize (900 dollars worth of Takashimaya vouchers ). I doubt I can use up such a big amount, probably selling to my friends is a preferred option.

the day ended with the awarding of the best costume prize. GOH came in first , while shuwei came in as runner up. We took some group photo before I left for home.

4月一日的相亲 (2014)

在这一天的晚上，自已去了人生正式的第一次相亲活动，之前看到了相片，就大既知道是行不通的，但想想，拿个经验还是不错的。

自已作工到0540分才下班，之后搭地铁去到TANJONG PAGAR 地铁站，之后换上了长袖衣。到了环界素食餐馆才傍晚六点半，就在外面走了15分钟才进餐馆。餐馆的气氛相当不错，也看到TAMMIE 了，但完全没有「放电」的 感觉。之后我们点了炒饭之吃，她有些生病，所以吃的不多。

在吃饭当儿，我们有尽量找话题聊，但我们之间的兴趣差的很大，工作不一样，兴趣也不一样有讲了一些出国的东西，其他都比较没有讲到。饭后，自已还是买单了 (两份炒饭加一杯禄茶和白开水 , 14.30元)，贵了一些。

之后，我们又走到INTERNATIONAL PLAZA 去喝咖啡，喝了比较贵的越南咖啡 (5. 60元一杯) ，之后也没有什麽进展。我吃素的原故，宗教信仰完全没有讲到。甚至有几分钟，因为没话题而静了下来。

到了0815 分散场，虽然和她拿了电话，但大概不会用到了。以上就是第一次相亲的简略，感觉还是不错的。不知，下次还会有吗？

再来，又讲回我的车。星期一晚上，一连有几个人来看车（还有一人有打来，一□气，就答应用３５００元买下车，又说２１号拿车也行。结果晚上，有一位来看车（和驾了一下，出价３３００元）。但还是比３５００还少。想想一下，就直接卖给那打电话来的，但有些担心，他不知会反悔否？东西不好担心，如果他真得不要，下个礼拜还有一个礼拜可以卖，再不行，就买保险（继续驾吧　）　

４月三日，今天是春敏的生日，在这里希望，春敏有个很快乐的生日（和她的男朋友），自已呢？就和自已庆祝吧，反正礼物也送了，什麽时候都要开心。今年大概是不会谈恋爱的，多忍耐一下，常常提醒自已，一个人也会很开心。

最后只想讲一句，这两个礼拜都会很忙。忙就会少想，少想就少烦恼。过了今天才想明天吧。

什麽东西，相信上天，相信上帝，没有过不去的路
