09年﹐一段慢長的三百六十五天

今年零九年是牛年﹐股票是否像牛一樣上昇﹐還是像熊一樣下墜。每個人似乎不看好今年的走勢﹐大概我也一樣吧。


工作而言﹐一天不如一天。公司生意近來非常的差﹐同事doreen被rosalind逼走了﹐身為經理的jeffery竟然一句話也沒有說。作了十個月的同事﹐經理好在也應該幫doreen爭取到一點的福利。然而他卻沒有。或許你會告訴我﹐現在是一個非常現實的社會。每個人都之為自己著想﹐公司老闆也是一樣。如不賺錢﹐減薪裁員正常事。對公司忠心﹐這年頭不管用了。這幾天﹐我反復在聽周迅唱的歌﹐外面的世界。我要告訴自己﹐今年一定要離開。吹熄了蠟燭﹐願望就是離開。一離開﹐就不再回來。還記得另外一首﹐走出去就有路﹐尋見的就是福。但願這一天快點來。

感情而言﹐還是一樣。一個人寂寞了好些。看左看右﹐偏偏看不到機會﹐搭不上任何一輛感情巴士。在巴士站待了好久﹐好久。要等多久﹐我的她才會出現。感覺自己有點笨﹐有些被動。但相信﹐我也只可以這樣的等下去。日子還是要過的。所以我常記住一句話﹐
日子﹐不想過﹐也得過。不要過﹐也過得差不多了。

兩個願望足夠了﹐知足才會開心。

telok Blangah hill outing

On September 14, I went trekking with a group of my FO tang friends. Although I have heard of the bridge a couple of times either from newspaper or passing by a few times, this are the first time I actually visit the long bridge (probably the longest bridge is south East Asia)

We reached Hortpark around 9am. We waited a while for all the people to be gathered.
There a couple of twenty odd people with adults and children. We started moving off around 0920min.The whole journey took 1.3km. The bridge was approximately 3-4 storeys high from the ground; it seems a little scary at the start. But after walking a while, the feeling slowly faded.

I took some photo on the bridge along the way, and candid photo of my friend walking up the hill. Some of them are resistant to photo taking, so I can only manage to shoot very few quality photos.

We reached Telok Blangah hill after 40 minutes of walk. We took shelter on a very big
“ting”. We started all activities starting with “Cang Hai” exercise. Later, we turn in to enjoy some snacks. It was told that everyone should bring some food meant for 10 people. But it turn out that many of them has brought much more. Thus the crackers I brought along have no takers, and I have to bring the whole 3 packet back home.

We have 2 more activities after that, it was more localized and more controlled compared to the previous outing at ECP. I guess the organizers should be happier this round.

At 1135, we started to leave the compound and return to Hortpark. The walk back is relative more easily, and a few of us took short cut (to walk staircase instead).On the other hand, the weather had became rather hot and left me sweating once I reached Hortpark. Luckily, there a small air conditioned room so I can “blow “aircon”

Finally all of us went for the nearby hawker center to do our lunch. During the time, they also sang birthday songs to two of the birthday girls. I missed on the occasion as I was delayed trying to find a parking lot. But it’s ok; I can sing birthday song to myself.

Finally, we dispersed at around 2 pm, and that’s the end of the event. Overall, most of the people plus me were relatively happy. I am not sure if the education part was achieved. But at least, our friendship bond grows a bit stronger.



Work wise, things look rather the same. It didn’t get any better; on the other hand, it didn’t get worse either. I got another 2 car since the last car meeting, bringing the total number to 8 cars. The boss hasn’t been talking to me at all. To be precise, he is not in office most of the time. This is the first company where the boss is doing nothing at all to help improve company (at least I can’t see them)

I have started to find jobs either through Job Street or newspaper. LTA came back with one interview at 13 Oct; I must be prepared fully for it. It isn’t really much of engineering based, so I guess chances are pretty low. But if I do really hit on it, I might really jump out of engineering and into something else. For the future, I can’t decide how things really go, I have to walk one step at a time, God bless!!



Maple wise, I got a level 104, things were fairly ok. I spam significantly amount of meso while training at Red Kentaurus. I guess I would have to slow down and start farming meso, probably after I hit level 110. I am planning a 2x for the coming 30 – 1st Oct 08.during this time, I hope to clear exp from 150% to 225%, and anything more would not be desirable


Something on my birthday, although I have chosen to work on 25th, I took leave on the 26th so I can enjoy a long weekend and also took a miss to the most difficult “car” meeting. I spent most of the time in the morning playing maple. Without the planned 2x, leveling is pretty slower. But I have to bear with it, maple are like that. After all it’s only a game. I also took instant noodle and coke which is part of my favorite (and unhealthy food).

I didn’t have as much message greetings as I expected. But nevertheless, with greetings from Siwei, Yunfu, JieKun, Waimun and Weibo, I guess things aren’t so bad either. As the old says, three is equivalent to many, and now I had five. Thus I find no reason to complain. Beside this, I also received a present from FO tang people (a photo album bearing the picture of Garfield and Co). A very nice though of them. I didn’t received any card from my insurance agent, maybe she quited? I didn’t hear from her for half a year.

Now come for wishes for the year 2008. I guess one word can cover every wish for the coming years, “NOTHING”. I guess over my 32 birthdays, nothing had really change, I don’t remember any wish I made all this while come true. I had been difficult in my studies, my works and / or my relationship. Or in a simple word, I lead a difficult life. I guess in times of difficulties, I remind myself the importance of striving hard and hope for less.

I just hope I can keep my head above the water in terms of financial, and ability to help my parents whenever they need me. Doing FO tang activities are priority one for me, other than that, I should just play maple whenever I am free, or I should read books.
Keeping single and quiet is necessary for me.

Blog July 08

It’s first of August; I thought I should again write something to remember what has been passed over the month of July.

Job wise, I had been in INTERMECH for 3 months and 10 days. Things are getting slightly better and I start to make less mistakes. Although I make some un-necessary error, none of them warrants a ‘CAR’. At least I am successful in preventing CAR’s in the month of July. I would want to thank Mr Chew (purchase) and Mr. Toh (production) for filtering most of the mistake away.

Over the months, I have learnt to take things more seriously. I would have to double check my work (particularly dimensions). I would have to increase my concentration when ever I do something; I had to remind myself not to think of other unnecessary things when doing a certain task. Beside this, I want myself to learn to take critics positively, always see ways to improve myself (through complains). So I can improve every time and every place.

Jobs were pretty busy over the month, with every customer crying for urgency. Everyone had been stressed in one area or another, resulting in conflicts between each dept. there are software “war” occurring with emails “shooting here and there” with all the “CC” and “BCC” making sure everyone knows. But ultimately, hope things don’t get out of control, and things can be solved in a better way. Overall, I done 14.5 hours of OT in the month of July, just hope my finance would be better in the month of August.

During the ‘CARs’ meeting on mid July, the boss scolded me for the big mistake I make during mid Jun, but nevertheless he still give me another chance. I understand that these chances may not come so easily next time. So I must strive to eliminate stupid mistakes

Work a side, and now to my personal time. I spent most of my free time playing maple for pirate PQ. Over the month of July, I managed to do 180+ PQ. Since I only earn 0.3 percent per PQ. I took a whole 2 months to do one level. I am now at present level 99. Kind of really ‘Jiu’ ‘jiu’, (super long to level up). I have done 373 times to date, leaving 127 times more to do.

But looking at my guild nowadays, most guild mate (including Guild master) was no longer active. We have been a very long while without Guild Quest. So leveling is not so important after all, I should strive to earn 50-100m meso to buy a super powerful sword (with WA of 105 and above). The rest I should leave it aside, 4th job is not in my plans for this year, so I should not get too stressed on it.

Over the month of July, I remained as poor. I spent almost all the money inside the bank on either here or there. I managed to clear two car installments this month, so I would not need to pay next month. Save and save would be my slogan for many times to come.


Looking ahead, National day is coming. So I took the chance to wish the nation better than last year progress. I would spend time playing maple at home instead of going outdoor.

My birthday is coming again at Sept 25, nothing so special about the date. But I should just take a day leave and play maple at home, eat instant noodle and coke (all the unhealthy food). Any gifts or cards would be a plus, but I rather look at the negative side and expect none. Friends are just too busy, so don’t bother to disturb them. Be happy alone.

Work wise , I should strive at zero ‘CARs’ again for the month august, I must remind myself all the mistakes I made before and swear not to repeat again. There is a new lady coming to work 2 weeks ago (Anne). We are totally in a different department, and we haven’t even talked before. But I just hope I do have the chance (some stupid wish) to talk to her. Things never go smooth for my relations, and I don’t see exemption this round either. Just thinking of my part, so I could write down and laugh at myself some time in the future when I read this again.

Having wishes is plain stupid. I would strive to be contended most of the time.

A Start of a new era

When I decided to tender my resignation letter on 25 Mar 2008, I thought I would have at least stayed unemployed for a couple of months to come. Therefore, I had planned a series of activities I should do and things I have not been doing for some times.
But things are always so hard to predict. During an interview with intermech (my present employer) at 2nd Apr, I managed to clinch the job on the spot. The manager (Jeffery) confirmed with me after a barely half an hour talk.

During my last few days at STK, things were pretty much the same, people that have spoken to me before, continued to communicate with me. For those who refuse to talk to me, things remain the same. I mean people like Kelvin or co; I guess they are just not bothered. I only managed to have lunch with kok heng, Alan chan, Derick Loh, Rishahb etc.

I still remained slightly busy with some simple jobs, thanks to Rishabh and whye wan. My last few days were indeed made more memorable. On my last day, I managed to email to all my dept colleagues, a few replied, and I guess it is nice. Joyce didn’t reply, but I guess it’s a norm. I won’t see her again, so no use getting upset. At 1700 hours, I say farewell to the building. I guess I would not have the chance to step in again.

Now, I should write for my new job. I started work on 21st of April 2008, where I took SBS 254 and I reached exactly at 0815 hours. I was shown to the desk by the HR personnel (Ms Hoe). I was stationed in the sales and marketing room with 12 partitions and a manager room.

The room was relatively empty and most of the staff was not present. Only from my new colleague, Mr. Mohd Noor, I then realized that, half of the office staff is sales staff and was out of office most of the time. My manager, Mr. Jeffery was also busy, and could not talk to me. I spent most of my time reading cater log books (and for the next two days)

Beside my dept, I was shown to some other dept like customer service, account, purchase , production, QC, store and IT dept. there are some ladies though, and to say pretty? I should just say maybe. But the most important thing is, they are relatively friendly (much better than the people I see in STK), so are the guys as well. People like Rosalind (Customer service), who greet good morning to everyone she see, and Raymond (sales) who is a bit long winded (but is good) in trying to explain on my job scope. This type of colleagues is one of the main reasons if I could stay for years.

Job wise, I was relatively free for the first two day. The lunch timing was ok (45 minutes). I bring packet food for the first three days, but when I realized there vegetarian available two streets away, I decided to spent my lunch there instead. During the tea time, no one seems to take tea break at all. I guess all of them all very busy.

From a staff meeting with the GM, I realized that several staffs were relatively new. Their work duration ranges from one month to three months, leading me to ponder why the overturn rate is so high. No one offer me any answers. I guess I have to work a little longer and experience it. Just hope with such a nice working colleagues, I won’t have to see them leaving so soon.

Work load wise, I started to get busier when I pick up the skills. I admit that I have finally relived myself from full time drafting. I spent more time creating quotation or creating BOM list (for production). With my work load, it’s almost impossible that I have the chance of dozing off. I still have to create drawing at times, but I see them as relatively minor. For this time, I hope I have got my path right and able to last a very long while.

Overall, looking at my new job, I am positive that I should be able to last for quite a while. I also hope to have a slight increment on my salary after the six month probation.

Personnel things wise, there are insignificant changes. My maple still at level 97, and I foresee slow progress over the month of May, I should only start to buck up end May or early Jun. Only till then, I should be able to hit level 100.

Relationship wise, there are still no progress at all. I can’t tell if anyone from my present office that could be the special one, but I just do not have the confidence things works so easily. I need to sit and wait (and wait a long period). I have sign up for match.com again using 140 sing dollars for 6 months. What chance do I have? I can’t foresee and I can’t predict. I told myself, to try (attempt) is crucial. But result is unknown, so as long as I managed to try, I should not get too upset.

Final things to say, my father persist that he can’t accept rental vehicles (to clear his gara Guni product). I guess buying van is almost the only option I have. I should spend two weeks to look out. I promised myself to get one van by end May, so my father’s thing would not stack up too much. I can’t fulfill his desire to buy truck as it really serves no function to me. I just hope he can take a step back and accept the van instead.

January Update

It’s the start of 2008, and I should start to write the first blog of the year.

Every January, at this time, I spent time to look back and review what had I achieved over the year 2007. Time had passed, and things had become history. So I have looked back, and what do I see?


Work wise, I had spent the first year in ST kinetics. “Sad” is the word most described feeling I had during most of the time I stayed here, and occasionally, the word “depressed” is suitable as well. “Sad is because I still can’t fit into so call STK Culture” and I had a very poor colleague relationship.


I got my appraisal grade last week, which is a “D”. Of the whole unit, I am the only one the get the failing grade. The VP spent a while to talk to me on the performance issue. From then, I was informed of why I got such a poor grade. Majority of the reasons come from my immediate superior, Kelvin. He had marked down several negative comments, which I personally disagree.


But then, to the management, it seems the verdict is confirmed. And I was not given opportunity to protest or anything like this. My manager, Kok heng, fails to speak up for me as well. I have no choice but to accept the verdict. The grade also means I lose my entire bonus for the year 2008, even the one on NDP bonus. To me, it’s a great set back. It’s means all my spending plans gone. It’s a difficult time for me to endure.

After this, I was told that I had only 3 months of improvement period, in which if I don’t buck up, I have to go. Obviously, it come down to two options, Change or Go
. So I spent a long while to ponder on the two options, what could I do next? Do I have to label myself as “stupid” and “useless”? Do I have the chance or time to change? What are the consequences if I fail to do in three months (and get terminated)? So do I need to “self kill” (resign) or should I just wait to “get killed” (termination). Which is the better choice? Or are both of them lousy? But then, I have to pick one of them. Just hope someone out there (or upstairs?) that can give advice.


After I looked back, it’s seems the reason I failed to well is to have good colleague relations. I could not get due support from them either work or personal. In which the management view it as a critical issue. Maybe, I tell myself, lets embrace the idea of changing (for 4-6 weeks). I try to talk to those people more often, even if they ignore me, but that’s ok. Work wise, I promised myself to be more proactive, willing to admit more mistakes, allows people to “slap” my face more often. In simple words, every thing I can think to improve myself.

But then if this does not work, I will have to shift my thoughts to “GO” I had prepared my resume and start to look for new jobs. But then, with my poor portfolio, I guess changing job can be tougher then I ever imagine. I had mentally prepared to throw towel latest by 15 mar, if my manager is not convinced of my improvement. Until then, if I still can’t find a new job, I may just spent time playing maple at home, read books and exercise. I convinced this year will be a tougher year ahead (and it seems every year to me is tough year)


That’s all to say about my work, I should also say something on my personal updates.
Personally, I went for the first interview with the match making service. Starting, a gentlemen interviewed me, his comment on me was ok (except that my hair a bit short). He briefed me on the points to look out on meeting future partners. Things become a bit thorny when money becomes an issue. The cost was 1200 dollars for 6 tries. He mentioned that the price was reasonable to get a life partner. But maybe just that I not mentally and financially prepared for the sum of money. The staff seemed a bit turned off after indication that I might not afford the fees.

Later a lady continued to interview me; she mentioned that most of her clients (ladies) were university graduate with high post. Naturally, their expectations are high also. But she says will come back to me if she see suitable ones. She also mentioned if I could consider ladies from china, Indonesia etc. I was a bit turned off by the suggestion. To me, at least for now, I would still want to have to local partner (or the furthest, Malaysian, and a Chinese with a flare for mandarin.) Maybe I was too choosy bah, or maybe I have to drop some of the points in order to have one. I have to see again.

It has been a fortnight since I heard from them. They have not come back with any quote of money (fee). Maybe they believe I stand no chance. But then, come back to it, with my job hanging in the lifeline, maybe it would not be appropriate to think of the option now. After all, without my bonus, all my planning goes hay wire. I have to shelve several plans (including buying car)


After looking backwards, now I should look forward. What can I visualize? There are so many things unclear, the road ahead seems bumpy. And I presume falling down several times more this year, and years coming down.


But then, I state my wish. (Or dream impossible) if I see this negatively. I just hope to have a Girlfriend. Things are so difficult, 100 miracles can’t bring me there. But then, I guess I can only dream. I just want to think positively only, let’s wait and wait. Just believe at one day, my dream may really come true. Dreams can be nice at times.

Back to reality, I just hope things stay the same (not worse). I have dumped all my cpf savings to investment plans (presumably, I won’t have to chance to use them for a very long period) and maybe no use at all.


Transport wise, since buying car is no longer an option, maybe I should really think hard on buying a bike ( for convenience). At least, I foresee my present job require some traveling.

I am still maple now, I can’t decide on which level I should stop. For now, I should concentrate on getting level 100, and ability to fight “ergoth” for GQ

Again too long a blog. I have spent 45 minutes typing this thing. So I should stay quiet for a while, and hope my next blog and be a little more positive and short

A day with the court (Nov 22)

Last Friday, I got a call from traffic police headquarters around midnight, telling me that my father was arrested again for drink driving. I have to go the HQ at UBI AVE 3 to bail him out. The is second time I have to bail him in 6 weeks. The first time, he is lucky to have got away with a warning. But this round, he wasn’t so lucky. He failed the breather test with a reading of 102 (pass is 80 or 85, I can’t remember). On that night, my father was being served with a court charge, so he will have to attend court21 at 22 Nov, and that is last week.

Although my father told me that he can go by himself, but I still made the decision of following him instead. This is one of the toughest parts of his life, and I sincerely believe that he needs support and I will have to be with him at such times. Never mind how many leaves I had remained, as long as I take them with purpose, things going to be fine.

On the Thursday, I went over to my dad house at 0710. We took some breakfast at coffee shop before taking a taxi there. We reached the subordinate court at 0835 which is fairly early for a 9 o’clock appointment. There were a lot of people also facing similar traffics charges waiting there as well. The court started at 0900 hours, which my father went in with several others. I wasn’t allowed to sit in, so I have to stay outside. The wait, surprisely turn out to be very long. I wait more than 3 hours for my father's charge to be deal with.

I had seen those people that had their lawyers with them. They had the privileges of jumping queue and able to have the case heard within minutes. I felt rather unfair, is those people than can't employ lawyers less important that those who did? Or simply money counts? I overheard a guy saying that to employ a lawyer needs 2K+++, and the lawyer could help us postponed the punishment (revoke of license), but can they really help us reduce the sentence? For a while, I regret not trying to engage a lawyer for my father's case (so he has to wait so long in the court). On the other hand, I still managed to convinced myself that, my father case is a sure lose case, I might as well save the money , and hope if I have the spare cash, I will pass to him to use.

At 1130 hours, my father case was finally settled; he got a 4000 dollar fine and a 3yr ban on all driving. At that time, he had only 1400 in his pocket and me 2K in my bank. The police officer didn’t want to use help us by asking the judge to allow installments, and I don’t see the point to beg for it either. My father passed me his house key, so I could fetch the cash from his house. Its was a very anxious period, as before I know it, my father was being kept in the lockup during the time when I went to collect the money.

Since 12pm - 2pm is lunch time, so I have to wait until 2pm to bail my dad out. I was so anxious that I can t eat well, so I skip my lunch. Only until 2 pm I got back to the court, pay the fines (with a fat stack of 50 dollar notes). This is the first time I carry such money. I waited another 45 minutes before seeing my father. It had been rather slow, but then I heard from my dad that they do serve lunch during his time inside the lockup, I guess thing are not so bad after all

Looking backwards, we spent almost a day at the court, and the lump sum of fine. During the wait outside, I also overheard a family talk. Its about 3K fine and 3 weeks of default jail term. Which is more "Wu Hua [Hokkien]" (better)? After all, as the daughter mentioned, 3 weeks replacing 3000 bucks is good. After all, we can’t earn 3000 in 3 weeks .On the other hand, the mum says that freedom is more important. Maybe if this question will to be post on rich people, answer is pretty obvious. But to some poor families who have to borrow here and there to pay the sum, then this would be a tough choice. Paying fine means freedom but in debts. What’s your take?

I guess my father didn’t choose the default jail term over the fine. Although he is poorer, at least he's still a free man. The sad part is that he got a 3 year ban on his license. He can no longer drive. He looked rather depressed that he can't drive anymore. He used to say that he can work as a driver only, but now he loses his driving license, I wonder if he can still accept other jobs, must pray that he does.

For me, I finally got back the use of the van. For now, imp still pondering how long should I keep on the driving the van, or should I scrap for a new one. On the other hand, I must see if I have the ability to buy new one. I will have to think and decide by the end of this week. Tough choice.

For my maple, due to increased Fo tang activities ( which is a nice thing) , I didn’t managed to do a level 85 this month , so I should just slow down. I m now at level 81... So I should just play slowly. 85 at end of the year should be just fine

July Update (1)

I haven’t been updating a while, so I thought I should just drop some lines for the month

July01 - Outing at East coast parkway
On this day, my friends and I (Fo tang people) had planned an outing to ECP. I had not been into any of the activities at ECP for a very long while, whether cycling, picnic or chalet. So this is the great opportunity to be able to enjoy such activities again. This round, we have planned to have some cycling activities in the morning, and a little picnic and games.

I met with 3 of them (Li jing, Li Hui and zhi Hui) at Boon Lay MRT at 0900am. Before that, I make time to visit my father and luckily, I managed to catch up with him with some breakfast. We took MRT to Lavender station to meet the rest, and wait for Shou Nan to drive us there with a van. We were there early, so we make a walk nearby housing. The place was where Weixin Jie Jie used to live, and since I had not seen her a long while, I wonder how's she's been doing?

The van came at around 1010am. Only then I realized that I did not bring any shorts or spare shirt to change. Maybe with this, I can’t take part in any water activities. For the next round (if there's any), I hope to improve, and bring all these as well. We reached ECP 15 minutes later. There are total of 10+ people attending, but I can’t be mentioning all the names, so I just write a few significant ones. After looking around, we managed to settle down at some grassland near a bicycle rental shop.

We spent the first hour doing cycling. Initially, there were two small kids following us with their small bike. We can't go too far. But at least one of them volunteered to look after the smaller kids so the rest could cycle faster. Things were fairly smoothly except
Ziyu had a fall during her ride. We ride all the way to east until we came to the end of ECP which is the start of Pubic road. By the time, we make a u-turn and back. We missed the one-hour rental time. But good enough, the shop didn’t fine us.

In the afternoon, we spent time to eat food contributed by each individual member. Food were nice. After that, we started some games. All the games were water related, so I couldn't join either. So I had to stay aside and meanwhile took some photo's using my camera phone (btw, I did bring my camera along, but forgot to insert the memory card. So I can’t use it!! That’s very blur of me). The game is such that losers would have to go into the water. The pace was pretty fast, and within minutes, all of them were being wet. The games went a bit overboard and maybe for this, Gulping (Organizer) was a little upset. Of these games, I think only the third one looks better (building sand castle), it’s a match between two groups, and the girl team won!! Maybe, gals have better patience?

Around 330pm, the activities ended. Some of them took a bath. We took the same van back to lavender MRT. From there, half of the people took MRT back. Since there’s a bit time, four of us (Renhui, Deming, si Yuan and myself) went to Boon Lay shopping center. To play LAN games. Living near there for quite some time, this is the first time that I know a Lan game center at the 3rd floor. The Game being played is counter strike and war craft 3, and these games aren't my favorite either. As a beginner, I was being "killed" multiple times, ha-ha. But guess what, I see the kids are happy, so I should be happy also. We played until 1845 hours, from there I bought dinner and gone home. The day was very interesting.

Looking backwards, I had not very positive comments later from all the organizers. I guess this kind of activities may not appear again.

Writing till now, it seems that I going to overwrite again. So I should cut short and leave the second part for the next time.

Overall, I had been doing average. My maple sea got to lvl 61 already. Things are fine if I don’t have to worry about them. I didn’t managed to talk to JW After all.
But guess what, I’m convinced that she would be angry if I try to talk to her. So don’t bother. Anyway, I heard from my boss that our team may be moving down to 3rd floor, so we can climb less, and I would have even less chance to see Joyce at 4th floor. That’s nice in some way.

Last one, my birthday coming next month, I hope to have people remember me to give me gifts or cards or msg or anything. I should be happy staying alone. Nothing’s as important as staying quiet.

Apr Update

Its May already!! A month has passed, so I should give a brief skim through of April.
I have been particular quiet for the recent months, in so that my life has become some sort of monotone life.

I spent my time plying between work and home, and other then time with my holy shrine, I spent the rest of it in front of my pc playing maplesea. Recently, I had been addicted to playing maple, so much alike with those heavily dependent on drinks and cigrates. I playing almost every day, and with such hard work, I only managed to do a level up once in a week or even more. I would at times get upset if I " die " and lost around 5percent of exp. With such stupid activities, I was running out time for the rest of my activities. I fall short of doing exercises, and I read much less. I find insufficient time to read my email, chat at msn or do my monthly report. I had not met up with my friends for quite a while and in simple words, its seam’s like I get more depressed. But looking backwards, I could only be occupied by my game playing, so I would not have other things to be sad of. For maple, I have done only 10 levels since mid February and a slow improvement.

Financially, I should look slightly better. My father finally got a job (with his friend recommendation), and can be financially independent. So I spent less on his bill (he pays by himself). But then the bad part is, since he is working 6 full days a week, I wasn’t able to see him for quite a while. His only free day is Sunday, which at most of it, my time was fully booked in holy shrine. So I would have to tell myself, if I were at anytime free on Sunday, I will have to find time to see him. But then, for me to buy anything (or maybe a motorcycle); I would have to wait until July as I need to clear my van insurance the month before. The cost as I looking at around 1000 bucks, so if I’m able to pass this difficult time, then I would just buy a cheap bike for a start. But then, things are unpredictable so I would update again when times get nearer.

Work wise, I had been in STK for 4 months, and are eligible for leaves. Things are pretty normal, with exception that I can't really talk to some of the staff there. With the exception of one or two, I didn’t enjoy cordial relation with any of the staff here. Maybe it was because our topic was always different, their topic were mostly centered about women (our department are almost all guys), food and fishing. I wasn’t good at singing, soccer or bowling and could not join them in any of their activities. I spent most of lunch eating alone. I spent most of my time staring onto the wall and at times dozing off. There are people who frown the moment when they see me, particularly one of the two ladies in our department (seok Hoon), you can see that she can interact with almost anyone in the office, but in fact i had not talked to her ever even once during the 4 months stint. I guess it was because I treated them bad in my last life, so I reap what I sow. But then, there are things I can't worry, and I guess this is one of them. I guess I can be self sufficient being alone. With friends things are good. But without them, life still goes on. I must not worry.

Other things to write, I heard that weixin Jie jie is getting married 13 may this year, and also qiu ping is getting married this year also ( with Jinrong ). Such news is always good to be heard, with this year a great year for marriage. But at times, I would ponder on when’s my turn.
When I see how cordial relationship was happening in quiping and Jinrong, I guess it would be great if I had any girl staring me in this way, so I would just get married, but then looking forward, this event would never happen. I might just fold my arms and wait, and I should wait for a very long time.

For the month of May, I should continue to be without any wish. Other then playing my stupid maple, I should strive to do some reading (' whenever or buses or so whatever). Maple wise, I should try to clear level 50 so I could return to ellinia on 26May or possibly 02 June. with my leave available, I may just take leave this Friday and rest a while, celebrate weixin Jie Jie's marriage (on my own) , and another event is Nicole's birthday at 2 Jun. I had not seen her for a very long time, just hope she is fine.

Feb Update

Looking backwards, I had a fairly nice lunar Chinese new year this year. This is the first time since a couple of years I have the chance to spent a few days in Malacca. Before, I was in singapore for the whole of the new year. This year, I got two days in Malacca ( chu 3 – chu 4). I should do some update on this few precious moments beginning from Chinese new year till now.

18 feb ( Chinese new year day 01)

The first day of the chinese new year while i spent theday at home ( shou tan ). i had messaged several people inviting them to come to my house, but none came. At least with a few replying, i guess this is the best results i could have. For those not replying, maybe, we are not friends after all. who cares!! I spent a bit of my time playing maple, and it;s a real long game. I took almost a day just to raise a level, the longest game i ever played.

In the evening, when i poised to go to Gouliang house, i got info from Siwei that they have shifted the venue to Gouwei house ( which i called siwei ). Luckily, i made the call early enough, or else i might miss the chance to see my sec school friends again. the Good thing is i would not have to worry if i get to see Raine ( i didn;t see her anyway). I guess it;s a nice thing.

Siwei came and fetch me using his dad's car. Together in the car was his wife and kids, shiming's and his family. We reached Gouwei houe at punggol at 1945 approx and we stayed there for 2 hours.I seen most of my "brothers" and some of their wives/Gf. I didn;t see Yunfu thou (overseas) and Liang Guang. I got some ang Bao's from friends that are married, so i a little financial better. On the other hand, i would still prefer to be giving ( a good thing to be married). During the period, i do a bit of gambling of poker cards with the people rather than doing nothing, Gouwei being the host won a fair bit, with me losing eight dollars. But to me, losing is a fine results after all, Hahaha

After the session, Siwei still managed to sent me home ( although he went to pasir Ris to fetch his brother beforehand). i spent the night trying to complete the level for maple, and i end up playing to 0230 hours, what a long day!!

19 feb ( chinese new year day 2)

In the second day, I spent the first thing to see my dad( and also to borrow the van). I had wished that he would want to go out and do visiting, but things doesn’t go my way. My father simply wouldn’t want to go out. So I had to spent half an hour with him before going off. The morning, I managed to see three friends also. Yuanfeng not in town, so couldn’t see him. I spent my time in e the afternoon playing maple and Holy shrine activities at night. After that I continue with my maple until 0300am ( another record again). Maybe I have to cut down on it soon.


20 feb ( Chinese New year day 3)

In the morning, I wake up at 0540 hours, as i would be accompany my sis and my jie fu to malaccca today. I supposed to wait for sister to come in taxi at 0630 hours, so we can go to Lavender bus station for the express bus, but she woke up late, so the trip was delayed by half an hour. Still we managed to catch the bus at 0800 am.

We took the bus had reached Malacca at 1200 Midday , in which my 3rd uncle fetched us to my grandpa house. The house looked much better than previously as my small uncle spent time on cleaning the house

I spent the afternoon sleeping and reading comics at home. At night, my uncle fetched a few of us to the restaurant. There were 4 tables altogether, but only one of them is a vegetarian table which I sit with my mum and a few other relatives. I didn’t bring camera, so I just took a few with my camera phone. But I didn’t have any blue tooth equipment, so I had to borrow from my biao ge ( Ah peng) ( and I’m still waiting). I took some photos with my biao de or /and biao mei . maybe I should also post them on the net also.
My 2nd uncle ‘s daughter (Li Jun) had taken some photos with camera’s, so I sure get from them in a later date.

The event was smooth, a bit of hiccup came up when the waitress accidentally served a plate of non-vegetarian dish (which contain onion like). Luckily, my 5th aunt manged to see it in time, as I only had a bite. The whole plate was taken away eventually.

After the event, some of the relatives with us, went back to my grandpa house to see the video (on my sis wedding last month), the video look very good, and professional. But then, when I looked at myself, I looked kind of stupid, ugly and out of place. (Hahaha)
The show lasted an hour or so. Which after that, most relatives went back, and I turn to bed at 1145 hours.



22 feb ( Chinese new year day 5)

the morning, i woke up at 0800 hours , the new dog outside my grandpa house is making a lot of noise for the whole night.Didn;t managed to sleep much also. After taking breakfast, i went out with my small uncle on his motorcycle. We went to the nearby shopping center ( Makota plaza and the new opposite it and i treat him to some coffee at Starbucks. Two cup of Latte cost me 24.40RM, a real high price for normal malaysians. Little wonder to see only a few customers there. But once a while, i guess it;s ok. Just not too frequent, orelse i can;t afford either.

In the evening, My sis with my Jie Fu, My mum and i departed for home. Only then, we realised that my the bus ticket my aunt bought only reaches to Johor. My sister being unhappy, opt to buy a new ticket that direct travel to singapore. My mum and i managed to get a 1730 ticket to singapore and we reached home at 2230 hours.


Conclusion
For the month of feb, things were almost as same as the previous month. I had played maple most of my time. Maybe, I find a liitle more success In games. I didn’t bother to exactly find any real friends at maple (maybe most of them are kids??) Maybe if any one of you reading this blog are playing maple, tell me so we can play together. For the month of march, I should try to reduce the time spent on the game, and do other things. Reading is a good option.

Financially, this month I would be rather hectic. My glasses is spoliling soon so I would to change one this month. Other then money spent on my dad and mum, I should save for the rest.

Jan Update

Rather smoothly, I completed the first month at my new job, ST Kinetics. Things are going fairly smooth. I had opted out for the OT scheme since the start of the month, but I guess I had made a good choice after all. I only clocked less then 3 hours of OT for the month of Jan, maybe just too little to be exchanged for my flexible hours.

Now, I was at my office. Since I wasn’t allowed to use Internet, so I might spent some time to write my blog at office (to be saved as Word file). I was too engrossed with my maple at home to write any blog or so. I haven’t been chatting for a while since; maybe I had no special people that I must chat everyday. All those new net friends, I had nothing to talk to them also. I had reached level 29 after playing for possibly 6 weeks. Maybe after I done a level 50 for my maple, I should stop playing or just slow down.



This month is fairly nice month where my sis got married, below are some details

27 Jan 2007
Today is the eve of my sis wedding. Looking initially, it’s seems that I won’t have much things to do, so I just spent time playing my maple. My 2nd uncle came in by the evening to tell us many things not yet prepared. Coming with him is my 2nd aunt. My First uncle‘s wife came from Taiwan and only touch ground at 2300 at night. My mum and I spent the evening doing. Things like some incense to pray for god (Tian Gong) and some other necessity also. My sis didn’t come home as she’s spending her night at her friend’s house. I sleep at 1145 pm, to wake up at 0445 hours, for my sis to come in at 0500 hours.


28 Jan 2007
The morning, I woke up at 0450 hours. The makeup artist reached at 0515 hours (where most of us are still in a sleepy mood). My sister and her “six sisters” came in only at 0540 hours. They started doing makeup for each of them. Two photographers also came in at 0545 approx. The second makeup artist came only at 0615 hours. It was supposed my sis and my jie Fu to comb hair together at 0600am at different place. But I missed the scene (or is there such event?). While they are busy with their makeup, I was a bit feeling out of place. I couldn’t talk to the “sisters” or with the photographers. At least my 2nd uncle and my Da Ju mu were clever enough to go to coffee shop for some breakfast. My mum and my second aunt also went hidden away at some corner outside the flat.

I shifted several times here and there while the sisters were preparing some “Food” for the bridegroom. It contains some Ku Gua (Ku), some sugar (sweet), some small chili (hot) and some lemons (sour). They also prepared some “difficult questions” such as when the first movie watched?” or “when is the first kiss?” etc. some kind of “where got time to go and remember?” question. Maybe I should start some of this question if I would to get married in the future.




The bridegroom reached the car park at 0805 hours. But they were made to wait for half an hour while my sis were still making up. I do take one or two photos.

It was until 0840 hours, I was allowed to go down to open the door for the bridegroom. There are “5 brothers” along with him. The “sisters” initially want the bridegroom to climb flat in front and shouted the words “I Love Joell (my sis name). But latter to realize that time is limited, so the bridegroom had to shout from the first floor. It’s a nice thing bah.

There are also a few tests at the door before my Jie fu was allowed to come in. That includes the food to be eaten (which the Brother’s help to eat). They had to wear white underwear each with words written. As expected, my Jie Fu couldn’t answer most of the question posted, and had to do push up and jumping jack etc. My jie fu and his brothers are also clever at the Ang Baos, which they use Taiwan money instead, so the figure look bigger. Why not rupiah instead? That’s what I though.

After halve an hour of bargaining, the guys were finally allowed to come in. My sis and my jie fu left after some congratulations and photo taking. They head for My Jie Fu parent house, so there’s all for the morning.

In the morning, I spent my time playing maple (Sea) again. My uncle complained that I played too much. Maybe, I should reduce a little. At 1140 hours, one of the “brothers” came and brings my uncle, my aunt and myself to John’s parent house. We reached there in 10 minutes. There were a buffet going on, and many people including the “bros” and “sisters” were eating also. Since there is no vegetarian, I just took some drink and desert.
John’s family were too busy to talk to us, and maybe kinda cold also. The house was filled with people, so we spent most of the time standing outside.


After an hour, the same bro fetch us back to our home. After a while, my sis and jiefu came back for tea ceremony. They came with all the brothers (5) and sisters (7). My mum prepared some soup with eggs for the couple. It’s been supposed to be bird egg, but my mum got 2 chicken eggs instead, so the couple can’t finish!!! But they just drink part of the drink, and my mum and I finished the rest. And again, we took another set of photos. This time, they stayed for 20 minutes. At 1410 hours, they left again.

At 1430 hours, my sis and jie fu fetched my mum to the hotel, while we rest at home.
We went to the hotel only at 1820 hours, the taxi trip took 25 minutes, and we reached the Hilton hotel at 1845 hours.

We went up to the hotel room at 13th room to see my sis, she’s busy doing makeup. Also with her doing makeup, are my mum and John’s parent. The particular attracting one is John’s father doing his great hairstyle; possibly look younger by 20 years old.


We went to the ballroom later, and waited outside the room till 1950. My mum got 2 tables, and of the friends she invited, only one people were absent. Things were fine overall

The dinner started at 2045 hours approx. my mum’s entire relative’s had no problem-eating vegetarian. The food was nice and the scenery was also good, but my uncle and a few drank some red wine. My cousin, Ah Peng seems to drink too much, and for a while worried that he might not take it.

The event ended at 2300 hours, since the “brothers” was not available to fetch us home. We had to take taxi instead. We waited half an hour for the taxi. It’s a long wait, as most taxi does not want to get to west side; they rather go back to east side, so they can fetch people from change airport again. Maybe this is a bad thing about choosy Singapore taxi drivers. But at least, with the help of the hotel staff, we got one at and reached home at 1205 hours.

A busy day, and at last my sister is married. In regard whether the entire event is successful or not, there will not be second chance as I had only one sister. Next one should be for me. But when would I have to wait? I guess it should be a long time to come.

Valentine day is coming again. So I would like to take the chance to have greetings for some people like Weixin Jie jie, Huipink, Shijie and raine, and all couples in the world. Just hope that their relationships last. I had holy shrine activities on that day, so I would be kept busy. The day will still be normal for me.

December Update

It’s the last month of the Year 2006; it has been raining for most of the month, either Singapore or Malaysia. My 2nd aunt and 5th uncle house in Malacca has been flooded. I guess it’s not a good timing, so I just cancelled my plan to visit my 3rd uncle at KL. But since I had taken leave for the 3 days, so I would have to find something to do. Maybe housekeeping and reading should do the job.

Due to some holy shrine activities, I didn’t manage to make time to go to CHC with either waimun or Yuan feng. I Hope next year, I should have the chance to go once bah, but I also hope its still at Jurong west St 91, instead of any other place.

25 Dec 2006
We had Lian Huan Hui at the Chinese Garden in the morning. With the sky very dark in the morning, I thought it might rain again. Fortunately, It’s was good weather. And with the cooling environment, things are smooth also. I spent the afternoon sleeping, and for the night, I planned to go to suisen’s house for gathering. But luckily, I called before I started traveling there. Only then, I realized that I made a mistake, the gathering should be at 24, not 25 (and that’s yesterday). It’s a sad thing; I couldn’t see my friends for the year 2006. So I had to see them only next year. I just went to see my dad for a while and that’s all for my day.

26 Dec 2006
This is the last day I spent in VMD, so I would have to treasure the last moment. I have still a lot of personal items to bring home, so I borrow the van from my father and drive there. Since it’s my last day, so I didn’t have to anything. I went around, taking photos and shaking hands with my colleagues for the last time. There are mixed reactions, some voiced a little sadness, while some just don’t bother. Maybe this is natural, so I took some photos to be posted later.

I bear some sadness also, since I had been there for 45 months. Things had changed, and staffs were different over times. But time to part, I guess I cannot always look behind. It’s time to look ahead, and see on my future again.

At night, I do spent time to celebrate my friend siwei’s birthday. Initially, we planned to meet at Jurong Point for some tea, Later, Siwei called to say that his mother had bought a cake, so he wants to me to go to his mother house to celebrate as well. Since, I wasn’t so nice to go empty handed (that’s what I think). So I just went to Jurong point to buy a simple gift. I managed to get a discounted gift (a pig for the year 2007). I got free wrapping also (only for Christmas period)

I met Siwei and went up at 2100 hours. In her mother house, I also see both of his brothers (SiJie and SiDa) and also the wife of SiJie. SiJie didn’t talk to me much (maybe we are not close enough. Ann (Siwei’s wife) on afternoon shift, so I didn’t see her also

We just eat some cake, while I presented my gift. I also spent some time at Sida’s room watching premier league “live” from a china website. I also spent a while chatting with my friend. Until 2220, then I left. It is still raining heavily, like never ending kind of thing.

27-30 Dec 2006
It; has been clearly raining for 27 - 29. In so that, I can neither go swimming or jogging
Other than sending my van for inspection and road tax extension on 27(which I spent almost $475 of repair, 87 for inspection and 295 for Road Tax), I didn’t do really other things. So I took time to read Dao De Ching. I last took 9 days to complete the 778 pages book. This round, I hope to finish them within 6 days (27 – 31). Until yesterday, I done 708 pages, so I should be doing up the final part today. Reading makes me think less and not too bored. Btw, msn had been down for a few days, so I couldn’t chat either
Other than reading, I also done some up keeping for my few drawers, so I thrown several things away. So at least, things are tidier, and wait for my sister’s wedding next Jan

I got a new hand phone from my Biao Ge. It’s a Samsung phone, but I don’t know what model is that. It’s not a 3G phone anyway, so I paid 160 bucks for it. It’s not as good as Nokia phone (this is what I feel). There’s no game, and the MSG keying is a bit different. But at least the camera is better than my 6610i. But since I got one hand phone working, I should be contend and use it for a while. Maybe I should wait for another half year to get a nokia 3G phone. Bike wise, I would see if my new job requires them.

Today is 31st, the last day for the year 2006.i didn’t look for people to go out with, and I just don’t want to make myself feel that I am desperate for company or a girlfriend. I just want to have a feel of self contend, the good part of being self sufficient. I would think and draw up some wishes for the New Year.

November Update

It’s a fairly quiet month, I guess. I had not been doing my monthly update, maybe because there are really nothing special for the month to be mentioned

Last month, I got a game of FF4 (Final Fantasy 4) from my friend. So I spent most of my time playing it. Maybe it’s true to say games are additive. I lost a lot of time playing it, and I didn’t have enough time for the others. I didn’t read enough and I didn’t exercise enough either. Time flies fast and a month gone

I do start learning Malay, and I guess it’s a better experience than when I learn Japanese. At least, I had Malay friends that can speak to me once a while. Words like "Apa Khabar" (how are you). From here, maybe I should start making some new Malay friends as well.

For the month of Dec, I should be busy for the first two weeks. I had sent in my resignation letter at 1 Dec, so my last day would be 31 Dec. But by including my leave, I may have my last day on the day before Christmas. I had 7 days leave, so I should plan properly.

For a while, I though I should plan a visit to KL. But going alone can be very lonely, I’m still thinking of anyone that can go with me. If not, I might just scraped the plan, and stay at home. After all, I still got house painting to be done by year-end. I can also read books, spent a while jogging and swimming. I should (and try) to read a round of Dao De ching (should take 10 days). Just a bad thought, if I don’t go KL this time, I don’t know when will I be available to go there. Think about it, I am still struggling. I hope someone would come and give me better advice. Just hope.

At least, for this month. I hope to be able to enjoy in my present company for the last few days. Boss had gone overseas, so workload had dropped a bit. But I shouldn’t be too relaxed. Find something to read, and to improve.

I’ll just stop with a short blog. For now, looking forward for Christmas. Just hope I hear any gathering from my secondary school friends on Christmas.

October Update (2) (23-31 Oct)

Today is 1st Nov, so I do a short update on the last week
I had not heard from STK for a fortnight, and looking like this, I guess I had been knocked out. So I would have to start modifying my resume this few days, and kick off job finding possibly this Saturday (Nov 4)

In my present job, I was being told that I am going to have a new computer in install the new AutoCAD 2007 bought a week ago. There’s good and bad. Good thing is, I got new software and new hard ware. The bad thing is, the management told me not to install any personal software in it, particularly Chinese star. Then I might not have to chance to type "WU xia Mi " any more. Another thing is I couldn’t install my MSN again, but I can still chat using ebuddy.

Haze over the last week had improve due to a weakening of SE/SW winds, and some rain also. It happen to coincide with the "Jiu wang Jie" Birthday which lasted 9 days. My mum says that every year at this 9 days, there are bound to have rain, and there are no exception this round either. With the NE monsoon coming end Nov, the haze problem will be very mild for the rest of the month. (if there’s any)

28 Oct
The morning, I wake up early so to go to my dad’s house. Today, I am supposed to persuade my dad to go to CDC at Jurong East to look for CDC assistance (in finding a job). After pondering for some times, I realized that his gara guni business couldn’t really cover his daily expense. So working some part time would be better.

But then, my father wasn’t willing to go, because he was being rejected several times, so I went on his behalf. I reached Jurong east CDC at 1115 am, only to be informed that the job matching dept had moved to JTC summit. I reached the place at 1130. The personnel weren’t very friendly and coldly told me that my dad needs to come down personally. Looking at it, I had a very big problem. How to get my dad to come down? I must think again.

29 Oct
The morning, I spent time doing housework, before visiting my friend, Rohadi for Hari Raya Puasa celebration. Another friend, chong pei didn’t inform me early enough so I can meet them at 1330 to go together. But I still got there by driving at 1430 hours.

The gathering was rather amicable. Other than Rohadi and Chong Pei, and also another lady (Kee Chia), the rest I wasn’t familiar. All the staff joined MSA after me, only Rohadi worked the longest (8 years). A few of MSA old staff didn’t make it. I do bring a camera and Rohadi took a few also. Most of the time, we do spent eating and drinking bah. Thing are still fine. Just a feeling, maybe if Chan or Kuan is around, I might feel better.


I did try to talk to Kee Chia, but it never gets more than a sentence. I guess she’s not interested. But anyway, she’s at least 4-6cm taller then me (too tall for my part). But never mind, I do talk to a few other engineers (name forgot) also (just plain talking). Just heard that Mr Ong plays badminton well, I guess it’s a nice thing, at least he don’t over work, and do spent time for relaxation. At 1700, we left. I only got a name card from an ex-Msa staff (Ong Wee Tiong). The rest of them, I guess I should forget them very soon. Kee Chia says she will pass me her email, so I just wait bah. Waiting is a nice thing. Whether will she does this is not important. I guess she won’t bah.

And now is November again, another two more months, and the year 2006 will ends. So any plan for this month? I guess not. My handset earpiece is failing completely. But I might just wait until it’s totally spoilt before buying a new one, very poor recently.

Since this year, some of my friends and colleagues suggest I should do something to get a lifetime partner. And they say those from Vietnam or Thailand can be very nice. I told myself, I still prefer Singaporean, and that should be Chinese (just because I love Chinese language very much). Ok ah, thanks for these people for their concern. But things not moving, there’s nothing I can do. Maybe wait is the word. Maybe, if I still can’t get one by 35, I would then consider other options.

Meanwhile, I will take time to learn some simple Malay, so I can talk to my biao di and biao mei, when I visit Malacca next time.

October Update (1)(16-22Oct)

Continued from the previous one.

This month, I had my first interview since the last one at DSO (Late February). This is the first time; I got an interview without sending a resume. They (STK) called me two weeks ago, asking me whether I interested in a job at ST kinetics. I told myself, why not? The first interview is just a kind of formal chatting. Besides, I had two attempts of interview with STK. The first one was at the end of 2001, which I got through to the 3rd interview, after which I was still been filtered off. The second one, at Jalan Boon Lay , I didn’t make it through the first one. Now this is the third time, where I will go back to Portsdown Rd.

The DSO interview didn’t make it, I believe it was because I wasn’t looking enough confidence, and I had not prepared enough to speak on my strength. So this time, I will try to be focused on my strength, be more relaxed and composed. After all, there are pros and cons. If I do get the job (which starts at December), I may have to forgo my bonus at VMD. Tough decision! Guess what, I can’t worry too much, things will get better in God’s way.

Today, I still went to work as usual. The difference is I packed my bag with full of my resume and certificates. I spent the whole day noting down and memorizing on my strength. There weren’t any compiling work at that day, so I can concentrate on my interview preparation. The interview starts at 1830 hours at Portsdown Rd, so I had to take an hour time off to reach there on time. The trip (by bus) is as long as the HR personnel mentioned, and I spent exactly an hour on the bus. But luckily, I reached the place 5 minutes earlier. Being early is a nice thing

The interview was rather nice. Initially, there are 2 interviewers. Later, an Indian Guy (believed to be the head) joined it. They asked tough questions, which some I couldn’t answer. But overall, I rather satisfied with my performance. The interview lasted till 2000 hours. I would have to wait another two weeks, as they got another candidate to see. I told myself, let’s not get upset, if this falls through. I will still get my year-end bonus at VMD. Things are always nice in any way. I rushed home to take my lunch, and I have Fo tang activities later.

Today is Suisen’s wedding, I didn’t go in the morning, because I got Fo tang activities (Shao nian ban) in the morning till afternoon. I only reached home at 1530 hours, so I spent my afternoon sleeping. There’s some rain to chase away the smoke for a while. But since the winds still stays at SE/S 5 knots, the haze returns exactly afterwards. Siwei called to say that, he got suisen's parent to fetch, so I had to take public transport there.

After eating two biscuit, I left my house at 1900 hours. Maybe, I didn’t read enough on the map, and over rely on the map stated in the wedding invitation card. I took the MRT to Outram Park MRT, and realized that, I could not walk to River view hotel from that MRT. Not knowing what bus to take. I had to settle for a taxi. The taxi took 5 minutes to bring me there. So I reached at 1945 hours. Not very late, I thought. Things are fine.

The night was doing fine; I was being allocated to table 4. Rather near to the host’s table. The Dinner starts at 2100 hours approx. I am the only one at that table that eats vegetarian, and I saw a few others on the other table as well. Vegetarian food had came much later than the normal set on several times. So Eddie had helped me to rush the waitress on this part. So I must thanks him for helping out. I got took some photo, but generally only 2-3 of them can be used. I should be posting very soon. Siwei is busy doing his camera men stint, couldn’t help me to take photo either.

I sit with Liang Guang and another guy, Zhi xiong. The table wasn’t filled with enough people and moreover, Siwei and Yunfu was busy helping out in photo taking, so they had several dishes "Ta bao". I did saw Raine sitting on far corner on the latter part. This is the second time I saw her. From my personal feeling, she looks nicer on photo and a bit fatter. Liang Guang told me that he come across the lady at Siwei’s wedding two years ago. Maybe at that time, I didn’t noticed bah? I didn’t go over and try to talk to her. Maybe, I should have done it, but I just can’t do it. But then I believed I wouldn’t stand any chance, so don’t get upset bah. She wore a black gown with her group of "sisters" (which also wore similarly) and left rather early.

By including this, for a while. I thought, Raine would get upset if she’s seen my blog. But then, I sincerely believe, she won’t (see my blog). But then, If you are Raine, I say sorry first. Don’t get upset bah. I just wrote the lines for myself only.

At the end of the celebration, several of our brothers have opt to stay overnight at the hotel. I got work tomorrow, so I have to leave. Zhi xiong drove me to clementi, where I took SBS bus (154) home. I reached home at 1200 midnight. Where I played some computer games, and sleeps. The day’s fine overall.

September Update (2)

Today is Sept 30, afternoon where I write my blog again. My Birthday passed again, so fast I have been through 30 birthdays. In Chinese saying, people at the earlier years weren’t as long live as the people today. So they treat 30 years as a life. To live over thirty years is a bonus. Looking positively, I‘ve been through a life already. Sometimes, I did ask myself, what have I achieved? Haha, maybe it’s good to look ahead, and see what good can I do in the next 30 years. After all, we don’t have much 30 years to waste.

I do a simple update of what’s happening with over the last fortnight

Today, I visited Chinese Garden. As usual, after my work, I went straight home for dinner. I didn’t manage to meet Waimun for dinner because; he had entered the Chinese garden much earlier (at 6pm). He has his company giving him free tickets (so he will have to go in earlier with his colleagues. I could only join him at 1930hours. By the time, most of his colleagues had left. So he spent time with me to walk another round. Earlier, I tried to call any friend (Weibo), but he is not interested in going Chinese Garden, so left two of us. I couldn’t get anymore people in, guess less people around me likes to walk park liao.

The walk looks rather fine, just that the lights were rather dim. Thus most of the photo we took was also rather dark (maybe also due to our skills and the quality of the camera.
As we walk along, we see the majority of the visitors as couples, with or without kids. Two guys walking together look a bit weird (that’s what I feel a bit). But then we still managed to crack a bit of jokes here and there, things are still fine. Just hope by the time I visit again next year, I would have a girlfriend bah. We took 45 minutes walk, in which after, we met Weibo at Jurong East for tea. We chat for an hour plus. Until 11pm, Waimun latter came to my house to do some of his e-mails and only left at 0030 hours.The day was tiring, but nice.

The morning, I overslept rather a bit, and only wake up at 0930 hours. I spent my time going to my father’s house. I reached the place at 1100 hours with some cans and newspaper. He is nice to treat me to some mee. He says, he might want to visit Malaysia or possibly batam, or some cruise. Hope by the start of next year, I could save a bit to see him go. Not too far, still within my means. God bless.

I was rather busy in the morning, so I suggest meeting my sister in the evening. But she don’t seem want to eat at home, so we went to a restaurant (LOTUS) at Quality Hotel. John (my Jie Fu) Came with my sis at 1825hours, and drove us to the venue. Meanwhile, we do spent a while chatting and the topic is centered on my sister’s coming wedding (at Jan). It’s seems that John’s mother want to do a grand ceremony, so my mum have to wear some cheongsam or those high class clothes. I might end up have to wear suit. I don’t have one at home, so likely to buy again. And shoes? Have to see on my sister’s decision. But then, I still hope I wouldn’t need to buy as I dislike buying (spending)

The dinner was cordial, my mum also bought some moon cakes in the restaurant, and some Durians outside the hotel, after that, John drove us back. The day was fine overall.

It’s my Birthday today. But then, I still make an effort to work half day, since my leave isn’t too much. Look at it, half day would be enough. I clocked off at 1200 hours, and reached home at 1250 hours.

I took some sleep, before settling my lunch with Maggie Mee and Coke. This is one of my favorite during my secondary school life. I used to eat instant noodle for the whole day (thus, I still very small sized till now). Now things get better, I don’t get the chance to eat instant noodles often, so I should enjoy it on my birthday. Meanwhile, I said happy birthday to myself. I would also like to thanks whose had sent their greetings thru email, msn or friendsters.

The afternoon, I spent my time typing my blog (of my wishes) in mandarin. Kind of difficult because, there were a few words, I just can’t remember. I had to check dictionary or something. Other then this, I spent too much time chatting with QiuPing, I didn’t managed to finished the blog today (25). I managed to complete only on 27. A sentence to describe my wish. “Be quiet and be contend, things will go better in GOD’s way”.

Final part, my birthday had passed. I got 7 testi, 4 msg from friendster, 9 msg from HP and some from msn. I guess it’s nice enough already. If I can choose, I rather choose happiness rather than sad. Be contend is the word.

September Update(1)

Today is 16sept, so I should do update for this month. So I should start on an afternoon again. Title, I should just place a simple one instead of a complicated one

The month had been rather fine for me, for the past fortnight, I been helping my dad to collect old cans and newspapers. I think giving him money directly might not motivate him much, but helping on his gara Guni business a bit, so at least, he got more barang to sell, maybe he can see life more positively. Or else, seeing he depressed, makes me feel bad also.

But them collecting this can prove a tough job, I tried to collect a bit from my company, (several people just discard cans after drinking). But had to collect secretly bah, over the fortnight, I managed to collect 67 cans. And positive looking, the cans can be sold at 5cents each, so its 5x67 = 3.35 dollars .Enough to buy a meal +coffee only. And Newspaper is worth at 15cents/kg. I got a 10 odd kilos, and it’s worth a dollar more. All this teach me to save money more bah.

Coming, I should be posting some of his Lighters (Items received from his regular beer drinking) on the yahoo auction; I see if these items can fetch some price, so I might give all to my dad. Just hope his is doing fine. God Bless.

Personally, I’m still ok, I bought a pair of shoes, so I can start jogging in the Chinese garden, and the place has been renovated and had been very nice. Lian Huan Hui in December may be held there also. But if this is true, then it will be the 4th consecutive years there.

9 days away from my birthday, I had yet to hear from anyone, but I do make effort to see four of my best friend, which I met two last weeks

Today, I spent my evening meeting up with my best friend, Siwei. Its was supposed to be next Wednesday (20) instead. But Siwei got mixed up (because I inform him too early), by the time i knew, it’s 2045 hours, and he has been waiting at Jurong Point. Since he’s there, I see no point to cancel. I took bus and rush there, reached the place at 0915 hours. There we spent the time at Food court drinking fruit juice bah. At 2200 hours, then we left.

14 September
Today, I spent my time going to Alan House (at Circuit Rd). It’s been a while since I took bus there (previously, I drive there). The trip took fairly long, I could not make it there by 2100 hours and was late for 20 minutes, We spent time play chess ( I had been a while not playing, and my skill has gone rusty. Ha-ha, still loss!! But still nice, after that, I treat him to “Qing Tang” at the nearby coffee shop. His birthday come earlier, and that’s today (16). So wish him a nice one. At 2300, then I left to go home.

Next, I still had Waimun and Yuan Feng to meet; I should be seeing waimun this Friday (22). Supposed to meet for dinner at some vegetarian restaurant, and I must thanks him for trying to pull some of my ex-classmate over to celebrate, but alias, only one of 6-7 people he called make it, and that’s weibo, expected results, but then still have to thanks him. Today, he called me, and we might change schedule and visit Chinese Garden after all.

Yuan feng, we are supposed to meet at Tuesday (19), but guess have to cancel due to a last minute Fo tang activities, I should call him, say sorry, and also to find another date.

Look at it; I think I should be glad to have a few good friends, and 4 some more. So in life, the most thing is to treasure what one have, don’t worry for those not with me, things are always as nice as ever, GOD Bless.

I should stop here for now, and on my birthday, I write my birthday wish. I shouln;t be meeting other people this month, so there’s no surprise, and no gifts either. I got one card from my insurance agent. That’s good enough. STAY QUIET.

Unlucky Monday 14 Aug 06

I got my second accident of my lifetime. The last one ( and the first one) happen at the year 2000(July 01).

I went to buy lunch at 1145am at Tuas Ave 3,and came back to office at 1155am. When I reached the exit of my office, there is a slight jam on the opposite traffic( going towards Tuas Ave 2). I managed to squeezed to the yellow box in-front of my office.. After the car in-front gave way. There is also a trailer infront of me. Within a split second, a motorcycle squeezed from the right of the trailer and crashed onto my van.

I was so shocked that my mind went blank for the moment, I got off my van at the next second. The indian guy ( which I mistook as a malay guy) just fall off the motorcycle. Around a quarter of the bike went below my chassis.The friend of the Indian guy managed to call the police and the ambulance.The Police came around 5 mins later, followed by the ambulance 10 mins later. To me, the guy seems ok except some bruises on his knees, and he complain chest pain, and looked like some soccer player after they are tackled. The medic had no
choice but to sent him to NUH. Only after the ambulance went away, then the TP came.

Meanwhile, i access my damage, my side mirror totally broken, so is my front left headlight, my bumper suffer damage on the left side also. my door was slightly dented. But luckily windows is still intact. On the other hand, the bike seem to have less damage. Other than the damage to the shin guard of the motorcycle( which half a piece came out), and some leak of petrol, the rest seem ok. The Tp after accessing the damage, allow his friend to ride away the bike. The thing finally ended at 1315 hours. A long ordeal make me very tired, the TP instructed me to go to Ubi HQ to see the investigator for further reports, and handed me an intended persecution letter (For inconsiderate driving). So i had to take half day leave, SAD Thing!!

I took some rice, and drive to HQ at 1500 hours. Unlucky enough, i forgot which officer I am supposed to meet. So I waited an hour or so while they helped me to check out. Meanwhile, I spent a while in the reporting section writing police report. The officer don;t seem to be interested to help me write better. It;s a bit a weird, as I thought this is the job of the officer, but then Police cannot be complained, just include some broken english. So can help myself bah. The office also sign for the sake of signing.

Finally at 1630hours, the officer (named Vincent Ho) came down. but to my dismay, he;s still have 1-2 case to settle in-front of me. I ended having to wait another 1.5 hours.I waited until i rather upset, but the officer still apologise and expain to me the need to wait. he says that today, a lot more accidents happening, maybe today is accident day. I managed to start the session only at 1815 hours. The Officer is rather nice, at least better then the previous investigator i experience in the year 2000. He did brief me on the possibility of facing penalty. But if the victim is not seriously injured, then things might look simpler, that i might get away with a compound fine, without having to go to court. I managed to complete the procedure at 1845 hours.

I called home to realized from my mother that my house fridge has broken down. Have to buy new one again. I am supposed to go to IDAC to access my damage, but the center was closed after 6pm. So i have to rushed home to accompany my mother to see a new fridge.At the same time, drive before the day gets dark( as i had only one side of the head lamp working), very dangerous to drive at nite. Although i plan to see Yunfu the nite, but no choice have to cancel it.( Anyway Yunfu didn;t call also, maybe he forget liao?). At nite, i also spent a wihile to call the guy;s friend and was relieved to hear that he is discharged. God bless.

I had to take another half day, so i might spent time completing my Idac inspection. I reached Bukit batok idac at 0835 hours. The staff that told me that, until such circumstances, chances of claiming the third party is low, so i have to prepare for the worst. But then claiming is still necessary, whether is it successful, it will come later bah

After that, i went to repair shop at upper Pioneer Rd, the staff there echoed the same comments as what i heard from Idac."Let;s not be discouraged", i told myself, the priorty is on repairs. the cost was around 400 ( without changing bumper). but luckily, the bumper can still be knocked back, or else , i might have to fork out another 200 plus dollars for a new one. The van cannot be ready today , so i had my breakast and went back to office.

Looking back, i had a fairly difficult times this month, and maybe due to the 7th month. The moment i had a little spare cash, unlucky things happened to dry up my pockets.But looking on the bright side, i managed to take some practical lessons on accidents. The investigator told me that i should look out for some details of the other party vehicle no, or any possible independent witness. It means also to look out for the no of vehicle nearby.At least, i do learn things in a hard way, and in the hard way, i must learn as much. Things passed, no use getting upset, pick up and look ahead.Just hope, this is the last time bah.

So looking at it, i should on hold my bike buying activities and new handset as well. Maybe i might wait until my favourite model "Nokia N70" dropped to a good price,( 100 buck ?) before buying. I should be quiet for the next two 7th month. And after my birthday, i see again.

this is the first time, i created a blog here. When i saw "raine" blog on blogger.com.
I say," No bad leh, still can post photo some more", i couldn;t or ( don;t know bah) how to post any on my friendster blog. So i can see only a junk of words, maybe i try writting one here. But i shouldn;t be abandoning my friendster blog also, so i should just keep 2 instead, and maybe a more range of people can just come in and have a glance.

I do self intro first, my name is Yeong hwee toi(30) ,Ht(160).(Wt)50. from singapore and a small place call Taman Jurong . I been staying in jurong area form more 24 years liao. i was born at Gelyang Bahru, where i spent my kindergarden times there. I got a couple of years staying with my dad at Jurong west st 91, Jurong still looks nice as it stays near to Tuas, where most factories located, so i wouldn't have to travel too far. presently taking Bus, but hopping to buy a Bike soon.. any one introduce one?At Taman Jurong here, old flats is being replaced by new ones,Block 105-107 is pulling down soon with the SERs program. and there;s go the sole Single storey carpark in our area liao

study wise, i was at Bendemeer primary school from pri 1 to mid of pri 2(82-83), where i shift to xingnan pri school at jurong where i complete my pri school(83-88). In my sec school life, i went to Bukit view sec in bukit batok and stay until 1993 ( sec 5), After that, i do my teritiary studies at NYP ( GSI campus), and i done My manufact diploma (94-97) during my Ns, i was doing a observer at met station at sembawang Airbase(97-00) ( interesting job bah)..

Working wise, i had been doing as a draftsmen or related jobs for most of my career life, and looking back. It had been 5 and a half years liao. A boring job bah. seeing pc from 8- 5.30 every day.. sounds bad. I rather do some service job where i can talk to people, and sometimes jokes, meetings here and there, running around, and maybe some oversea's exposure as well. i ever tried doing insurance for a while, but didn;t make it because , i just can;t pass the 4 test required!!! This year in VMD, i got increment recently, maybe i should just on- hold my job finding efforts bah.. next year, i need to see again.

Hobbies wise, i spent most of my time in Fo tang bah.. there i enjoy with the shao nian class, and er tong class also.. and all the activities there, and i should spent my main time with it coming for a very long time bah.

Others, i do also play chess, ( but recently no playmates, all no longer interested) too busy working bah. or with relationship or family, not to mention soccer or table tennis which require more people. maybe can gather once in a year, it;s very nice already, luckily most of this friends still remember me when i call them bah

I also spent time reading, mainly chinese history books or religous books. i do read Non friction books also, don';t ask me why i don;t exactly read friction one, i don;t know either, but to me novels particular love ones are too perfect to be true. Only can cheat people of their feeling. But history books had bearings on how they come about, and in sequence also. only some of them do conflict with each other in terms of years and meaning.

relationship wise, maybe i failed several times, or i start to forcast that i will fail for another couple times ( BTw). i used to be in the weather stations during my Ns times.. so forcast weather still ok bah..). I have try to meet new friend from website service and i done two blind dates since then, the first one, gone case liao.. the second.. i have yet to call her.. don;t know where can go or what to talk on phone.. sometimes. worries can be very difficult bah.. i guess being alone is a nice thing also.. Maybe a simple thing, Just wait and wait bah

lastly, after reading the above , u know me liao? if not, pls tell me which part u don;t know? okie.. i love to make activities friend .. those can laugh on cue one.. and ladies that are availiable?
