I got a call from eSynchrony (match making service) to query on the service I applied a few weeks ago, and I didn’t really leave any impression and that time (application), since I have joined several other (free) dating sites and all of them came to nothing.
The lady (Calina) spent 30minutes trying to convince me the service is good and would be able to find me a soul partner. She gave me some advice about my uploaded photos (which I don’t look mature enough), but then I unable to find any “more matured” photo (or those wearing long sleeve) since I had not really worn any of them to work.
She also advised me to relax on my requirement , whether on age ( to downgrade to not so important ) but I was a little ( just a little) worried that I might be matched to a lady older than myself.
On race wise, she ask if I could consider non-Chinese, I replied by saying that I
would not be able to accept my future partner unable (or even dislike) to speak mandarin. On this part, I don’t think I would want to take a step backwards, but in the end, if I unable to find a partner as a result of this “requirement”, I would glad to accept as fate and remain single for the rest of my life.
Finally come to the most important issue,
MONEY The subscription was 450 dollars for minimum 3 dates (after a 100 dollar rebate), I seriously
DO NOT think is expensive (provided if I can really find a partner). But the question I want to ask myself that is what if I can’t find one? What if I got rejected again? Can I still find one if I had not spent the money? What is the future looking like for me?
Future seems bleak for me when coming to marriage. There are always worries if I able to live with my future partner, or my future partner living with my mum, whether she can take vegetarian (myself a vegetarian), I always liken my chance of marriage to
some impossible task like Singapore lions winning World Cup (probably wont happen anytime before 2100), or Taiwan unifying with China (probably after next two generations)
Unfortunately, I had only a week to consider, I do not know if this is a rushed decision. But looking backwards, I been making rush decision many times before. For example this on the Taiwan tour, I made the decision of the booking the air tickets in just 15 minutes of pondering (just because I hope to see 春敏 in Taiwan, but I didn’t meet up with her in the end) and I spend almost 1300 dollars for the trip. But as I look backwards, I think I earn some experience.
For this decision making, I need to think again. Maybe I should say yes, so I might have a different valentines day to spent 14 Feb 2014. Another word to add, 那些年的書,says ( if you risk nothing , you risk anything)
Finally, for my friends reading this blog today (11 dec 2013), you might want to give me a call to give me advise. But to myself, would anyone read my blog? Answers unknown, after all I get very few likes in my face book post as well. After all, my friends were too busy
I wrote too long, I should stop for now
GOD bless anytime , everytime , all the time
