5th November 2016
Today as a Saturday is my long time buddy (Alan’s) wedding. he and his wife has been in a low profile relationships for several years before deciding to tie the knob in this year ( I remember seeing his wife once during the 2011 GE , at the workers party rally). Today I still felt thankful to be able to attend their small scaled wedding ceremony
In the morning, I took some breakfast before going to Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium to meet Alan (at 0830am). Two of his friends came around 0900am. We were being briefed on what to expect on the birthday lunch later (although the bridegroom wasn’t very sure on many details).

I went to the ballroom with his friends (Seth). The ballroom is relevant big, but there is only 6 tables presume there will be an owner table, one table for relatives of the bridegroom, 3 tables for the relatives of the bride, and the last table for “friend”.

Since Alan did not prepare vegetarian and Muslim food for the lunch (additional cost), so I can’t eat at the lunch buffet. Alan decide to treat me to early lunch outside (near his house ) at around 11am , I fetch the bridegroom , his sis and his mom to the wedding venue
The wedding started around 1230pm, I was supposed to be tasked to take care of Alan’s mother , but in the last minute , Alan’s elder sister decide to do the job instead . Since I had nothing to do, I started going around taking photos. Almost all of the people attending were relatives (20odd for the bride side) and around 10 from the groom side) to my surprise, only three friends were invited (and one of them is me). I didn’t see any beautiful ladies (only two teenage girls) and the rest elderly (sad).

The lunch started around 1245 hours. It started with solemnization ceremony, followed by the tea ceremony. Fortunately, there weren’t any hiccup as feared by Alan in the morning. After that, there is the buffet for an hour or so.

The event ends around 1430 hours. Both Alan and his bride looks for places to take photo, but then the hotel had very few places to be able to take nice photos, finally the session ends at 1545 hours.
Looking backwards, it’s a good experience trying to help out in such joyful event. From the couples feedback that they are too busy that they are unable to eat anything on the table. Things would be better if there are a few more “brothers and sisters”. After this round, I think there won’t be any marriage to attend this year or next. Tianwei’s marriage would probably come in the year 2018. My marriage? No hope ..
Wedding aside, my car experiencing some problem for the third times in recent months, hope the car do spoilt less often. But then I won’t be driving to Malaysia in the year end thing (taking bus would be a better option)
I should stop here for now
一個人也可以很開心,GOD bless all the time
