Today is the first time this year that I participate in a SG 50event. Since Alan invited me and I happen to be free, I think I should just join in for once (at least one event for the SG 50 celebration)
In the morning, I woke up around 0510 am. I been having slight pain on my right leg for the past 2 days, but I still made an effort to go for the walk. I left my house at 0535am to take MRT to City Hall. The mrt was very crowded (probably due to a lot of people going for the walk as well. The travel took longer than I expected and I reached city hall around 0640am (10 minutes late). I walked to Bras basah MRT (which I nearly lost my way) to meet Alan)

We walked to the starting point (national Museum) at 0715am. There was hell lots of people (the host mention something like 25K of people) participating in the walk.

While walking thru several iconic locations, we took time to take photos of either sceneries or the shows by various local performers. It didn’t really look like a walk to me, rather more towards a holiday tour in Singapore Island. Overall the walk is quite smooth except that my leg is rather painful that I can only walk slowly. The weather is fair and sunny (I managed to bring an umbrella with me to block out the sunlight.

and some performers

We reached the ending point at Garden by the Bay around 10am. We stayed there for another half an hour to see some short (a little too short) performance and lucky draw. But the amount of prizes to be won is simply too little and there is nearly no chance of winning. The activities ended at 1030, and we left for Chinatown after that.

Looking backwards, it’s indeed a good walk. I didn’t manage to meet any familiar faces or make any new friends, but I think is alright. Just hope I would be able to come for some walk or run pretty (I should also do more exercise to keep myself fit for these events).
Looking forward, I chatted with alan on the holiday visit to Japan and idea of learning Japanese, he is rather supportive of the idea , and maybe , the idea of going to Japan ( Kyoto ) might be realized as early as Jan 2017.
I should stop here for now
一個人一定會很開心的
God bless every time, all the time
